A terrific YT channel is a guy named Darren Alf, AKA the Bicycling Touring Pro. His attitude after 15 years of full time cycle touring Europe and the US and documenting on YT, is "just get out there and do it". Very good attitude that is in abundance in this series. Loving this.
OMG, guys. R.E.S.P.E.C.T. I cannot believe you powered through that gruelling trek. SO GLAD you are planning to slow down. I LOL’d several time though. Thank you! Just love the way you are with each other. So many couples would not be able to weather the adversity and exhaustion with such camaraderie. Kudos. ❤️ from 🇨🇦
Wow both of you look wore out and poor Pistol. What a great dog. Keep it up. If anybody can do that trail, it is definitely both of you. Stay safe and have lots of fun.😁👍👍
45 miles is a big day on the trail. The gravel is a nice surface, but it does suck out a lot of energy. We ate pizza from Casey's in Pilot Grove, too! But we spent the night there and had a steak at Deon's for dinner. Yum! The original bridge in Boonville is kind of cool. They keep talking about how to get the trail up to the elevation of the lift span so that you can ride all the way across. And in the background as you were getting ready to cross the bridge, I saw Main Street Diner, where we had lunch one day. Can't wait to see who got into your food. My money's on a raccoon.
Hi guys! This is absolutely fantastic to watch, Can't wait to continue. You are heroes. The closest I have been to this is a week of cycling in Italy with rental bikes or simple type, few gears and with tires of solid rubber, which were also pointed and dug into the gravel. My dear says it was nice there, but I had my nose buried in the map and description of the route that must have been written late one Saturday night. Good luck to good people and remember electrolytes!
Hey guys, that was a fantastic video, I enjoyed every minute. I am a biker want-to-be. this trip is fantastic to watch. There is so much to learn on a journey like this? Hats off to Irene for taking on this challenge.
OMG your gas station food is so painful. But the trail looks so amazing - I like the trail. Food? 🤣 Yep - before you said you wanted to slow down, I was thinking the same thing. You two are amazing!
I'm new to your video s oddly enough I have two Boston's Netto and sissy as well bicycle tour a bit have done the katty an camped all the way loved it only wish I'd had the dogs after seeing you guys with pistol great job y'all much enjoyed your video !
Just did the Boonevill to McBaine to Columbia section, 34 miles. Guessing your next section is Franklin to Coopers Landing? Rochport only town with anything in that stretch. You'll like, will have liked this part between the river and the bluffs. Pretty flat, next section before Jeff City there is a little elevation change
Oh no, sorry to hear that. Some hotels can make a night in a tent seem like a blessing. Some air b and bs can too. The worst part is you won’t know until you try them out and then it might add to the sufferfest. Carey On with your great adventure and enjoy.
I'm thinking an electric motor would be really nice, especially when it starts to feel like a brutal grind. I'm exhausted just watching you guys. Proud of you two for hanging tough. Yep, you BOTH are beasts! Grind On!... Oops, Carey On!
@@CareyOnVagabond I get it, I’m a wee bit of a masochist myself. But usually when it comes to climbing! Still, what you two are doing is admirable! Carey On!

I can’t wait until my RUclips time every night to watch your updates!
The scenery is fantastic, but, like you, I don't like heights! And Irene needs to dance in every video from now on! 😁😁😁😄😄😄

It's not about the problems but how we adapt and cope with them, interested in what your regroup entails. Good video, thanks.
So true:)
I hope no snakes around the tent
My dog Bear loves bananas🍌 BUT they have to be just right in ripeness. To green or to ripe and he spits it out too.
He's my own Goldilocks. 😉
🙌😁
Katy is a lot easier from Rocheport to Coopers Landing. Most beautiful part of Katy
i think i could here the racon i the back ground
🤷♂️😉
Bike packing with camping is fun but hotels and motels might be even more fun.
We wound up in some hotels and actually really wished we were back in our tent.🤷♂️

KUDOS
Thanks!
I'm told suffering is optional.
Have you passed other bikers with wagons
Not a single other bike pulling a trailer.🤷♂️
Well I guess you guys are the trend setters!
