  • Since once causing an Earthquake and setting Guinness World records for the loudest crowd in sports history, the volume at Lumen Field has slowly lowered. For some reason the Twelves aren't quite as raucous, and that's a shame, because it provides one of the biggest advantages in sports.

    To put it in perspective before Holmgren season tickets were 15 bucks a seat, then the new stadium was built. I gave up my season tickets when we moved. Last season was at husky stadium, moved the new stadium prices more than doubled! Got seaon tickets again the year we won the superbowl 300 level 75.00 per game per seat parking 40 per game

    I completely agree. People are so quiet now, that the people around you look unamused when you try to help the team.

      I’m going to the Niner Thursday game. I have a seat close to the end zone and I promise to do my best. It took me a couple games to come out of my shell

    I went to a game for the first time last year. I felt like everyone around me was doing their best to make a lot of noise. But I was in the cheaper seats in the 300 sections. I have a theory that it is the rich implant Seattleites in the better seats that are the ones not keeping up the tradition. They are wealthier and probably think they can’t be bothered with it. They are also implants and so their Seattle/Washington pride doesn’t run deep. It is a sad truth that part of it is that the city has changed because of the tech boom and I think this is a symptom of it.

    I could not agree more. Make the damn noise, let the heavens hear our roar! If you are in an area of the stadium that is low volume, RAISE THEM UP! I wanna hear the noise here in Spokane. If you are at a football game and its too loud, then honestly, you shouldnt be there. If I am paying that much for the tickets, paraphenalia, concessions... I WANT TO SCREAM. I WANT TO HEAR IT ALL.

    It’s tough staying loud when the hawks had one of the worst 3rd down defenses. What’s the point of yelling if it feels ineffective? Should change this year!

    I think what’s been happening is that it’s becoming more and more corporate over the years and they don’t care as much about football as we do but they got the money for tickets

    Yeah, from the press conference footage that I've heard, it sounds like Mike Macdonald believes that a loud Lumen Field would be a net positive for the Seahawks defense.

    This is really a thing?
    Who goes to a sporting event and is surprised or complains about screaming? That's ridiculous lol

  • @podunkparte
    @podunkparte 24 дня назад

    There are lots of older people who cry and complain when we stand up and yell on defense. Its pathetic. Someone stands in front of you to help the team? Then stand the f up too. If its a kid behind me i shift so they can see too, but the adult debbie downers can cry as much as they want while they stare at my back.

    It’s not the young people. At least not entirely that. They have priced out the real fans and only corporate Microsoft clowns get to go to games now. Those people think shouting is so lower class…

    Ever been to a polo match? Me neither. It is a sport that targets the wealthy. The NFL has priced itself into becoming a polo match. Not just for the stadiums, but also for your living room which used to be basically free. Now, with all of the streaming aspects, the NFL is becoming pay per view as well.
    When family outings have become too expensive, and you must go to games with other paying adults instead of your own children, then the generational traditions eventually become lost. They slowly fade away. You cease passing fandom to the next generation.

    Yup, Brandon, it's like others have stated. Sports has gone corporate. It's entertainment, that, IF you can afford it, then you may enjoy it. I know many fans don't want to hear it, but, they have to. It's class warfare here. Tix prices are continuing to get ranged, out of, the most diehard fans. Those fans, that cheered to the max, chances are, those, who, we see working daily, in the public. Whether it's on the street, or in the office, or Supermarkets/gas station, Circle K's, etc. That, is where, the diehard fans are. And sadly, they are getting left behind, for, those, who can afford to go to games.
    Unpopular Opinion Brandon, it's why, I lost A LOT of passion for professional sports. These owners, never lose money. They are too big to fail, and yet, keep raising prices. Greed. When fans start to see this, being fan, is suddenly not so appealing/loses its appeal. I have not been to an NFL game, in, over 15 years.

    I'm wondering if the majority of fans thought that it was "Team 3" that was the reason we had a chance for deep playoff runs. Granted, he was a big part of it, but the fact we couldn't even win playoff games even with "Team 3" the fans just lost all hope.
