I have just bought a ground loop noise canceller so that I can plug the line out cable from the headphone jack, through the noise canceller, to my PC. This removes an unpleasant buzzing noise and allows me to export my music on a DAW. This probably isn't the official way to do it and I can't guarantee perfect safety or reliability, but it seems to work for me for my purposes so far.
Thanks for the useful tutorials! I hope we can get chromatic sample playback (keyboard layout) in a future update this would be cool for drum tracks too.
Just got my Seqtrak, and I really enjoy it. Is there any chance to play a live set from a different song created (1-9)? I found a limitation; if you want to play live with different projects, the machine stops every time.
a lot of people cancelled pre orders cause of the broken sticky key issue looks like mostly in the UK will this be fixed before US shipments start ? also all the videos right now with visualizer have massive frame rate issues videos look unusable will this get fixed ?
UK customer here, no issues with my unit. Been making Visulizer videos with it using my own video footage as a 'background' and overlaying the stuff provided in the app. No issues at all so maybe its been fixed?
@@sinixyt845 I assume so with the amount of outputs and no 6 track audio over USB. You may be able to transfer midi info. 6 outs over USB would elevate it from doodle/toy status for me, would be great in an update imo.
Can you use user samples in 1 of the 7 drum tracks? I ask this since drum tracks can be played chromatically. If it's possible, this would let me use a drum track as a monophonic chromatic sampler.
If I understand your question, the answer is yes. You can load any (within the limit) sample to either of the 7 drum pads. Kind of wished it was 8 pads, having that record button there makes so little sense. Much like many other parts of the device, I own one. Split 50/50 to return it or not. Also @Yamaha Synths Official, it really sucks to see you having little to no engagement with customers or potential customers.
Why can’t use substep (to play triplets, for example) with synths? The opposite, why can’t use the step length with drums but we can do it with synths? I can’t play a dotted quarter note with drums, for example, using the step length. I’m finding some limitations about rhythm. Take note Yamaha, it’s a shame.
For the love of God, why there is no screen? Even a simple 2-4 lines small screen would have been great. Just removing that light-up words list and arranging the knobs on the bottom, would have left enough space for a small screen, which would be really helpful when you are browsing hundreds of sounds or samples. Love this device but the regret of what could have been with a screen is strong. And yes, you can use a tablet... But I don't want a tablet when I play my instrument
I know what you mean, but I recently got a Circuit Rhythm which of course has no screen, and I was very worried about it. But like many others, or actually encourages creativity. I am assuming the same thing here, which I why I am buying one.
@@ilikeitdark13 I mean, a guitar or a piano do not have a screen, but they have 1 usage and really can't go wrong... These devices have like not only different modes but also hidden parameters you can't even know what they are unless you see what they do in the app first and then remember them. I would gladly give away some of the things on the right side of the device for a small screen
It seemed to work doing that after the version software update. However, the note length I think has to be adjusted, otherwise you just hold down the sample button after real time record function to get a long note which can play through to the next 'Page' of the input sequence.
Going to say no, so I use a LaunchKey Mini Mk3 and you can control the SeqTrak by going directly from midi usb > seqtrak usb, to do this I use a generic hub as it lets me power both devices and use the USB host controller for the midi keyboard. I tried to plug in a 3.5mm jack into my hub and it did not work, the music came from the internal speaker until I used the seqtrak audio output.
As a professional music producer, I must say that after thoroughly familiarizing myself with the device and all its functions, it is clearly designed for children or teenagers who are beginners or who love to play or create rhythms, melodies, or music. It is not suitable for serious adult professionals. It is essentially a toy with a high-end price tag.
Given that this is a product aimed at creating and creativity, the presentation makes absolutely no sense. This comes across as an AI generated and narrated corporation welcome video at an accounting office.
This is effectively a video manual ... I'd expect it to be pretty dry. The fun "Get Started" videos will come from the usual RUclipsrs: this thing's going to become pretty ubiquitous, it won't get neglected.

This would be sooo awesome!!
I think everybody wants this, really hope they listen
I seen someone do this with a midi keyboard plugged in
Please Yamaha add All seqtrak videos to one playlist ❤👌

Looks interesting!
But that copy/paste pattern command is a Tekken 3 level multi button combo😅
The copy /paste pattern button combo is near impossible!
Is this AI voice? Or it's just edited this way?

Is it possible to sample over usb from ableton? Which settings should I use?
I was REALLY hoping for multi outs of each track over USB! Just bypass any master effects
Do you have to record each track in solo on your computer ?

I am doing mine but it the advanced parameters thing is just a waste of button pressing. Make all options the default.
As it wasn't mentioned, is there no way to trim recorded samples?
Its possible with the top two knobs on page 4 of the sound parameters as shown in 5:32

I can use 7 sample tracks in one project or only 7 sample tracks at all?
The samples loaded into the 7 pads are for that project, switch project and you can load the same or 7 different ones :)

not clear if the sample track can play different samples on different steps

At least I think it continues the note, I haven't tried it extensively.
Will audio over usb work on lInux?
Probably. It's pretty standard. I have one on order and I'll update and let you know when I get it.

It works fine with Bitwig on Linux. Can't get it to work with reaper or renoise.
I am wondering when you expect these to start shipping out to the United States.?
once they fix the bugs probably lol

It works perfectly for what it is. People like cut and dry. Go watch BoBeats lose his dignity if you looking for razzmatazz.
I disagree I found this style to be totally adequate for getting started and seeing the manual in video format
