What a wonderful musical treat! The majestic Chorale at the end is absolutely spine tingling (especially when played on this magnificent instrument) and very fitting to the final lyric, "His kingdom is forever". I think both J.S. Bach and Martin Luther would approve. Well done, Paul! Very well done! 👏👏👏
This is your longest composition yet and well-worth waiting for. A simple A-B-A structure is transformed into a powerful statement of faith. The middle part was sensitive, wondering, unsure, questioning, but then at the last moment the music the fear is replaced with an overwhelming answer of faith! Beautiful registrations as well, coupled with lovely photography. Your best offering yet!
Für mich sind Palestrina‘s Messen (z. B. die „Missa Papae Marcelli“ und „O Sacrum Convivium“) oder Monteverdi‘s Marienvesper 1610, aber auch die von Paul so festlich, feierlich, majestätisch und gefühlvoll vorgetragene Orgelmusik Bindeglieder des Menschen zu Gott. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Danke Paul! 👍🏻🙏🏻👏🏻
Paul, this is a wonderful composition; I would call it a major work !..It sounds so great on the baroque organ in the Thomaskirche. Great video composition too. And, what a joy to see you without headphones, wearing that long sleeve white shirt, playing live on a great organ in a fantastic and historic church. This video is priceless ! Thanks you.

My first trip abroad ( I was so young like you now 🤪 to Germany, Lepzig. I visit this Church, I never forget this organ! Somebody playing (practiced). Beautiful😇Congratulations!
Loved the arrangement. Last movement was especially powerful and moving. and I think I heard the influence of Max Reger. I hope to be at the Thomas Kirche in a few weeks - last time I was in Leipzig was on 1987. Gelobt sei Gott!

You just continue to outdo yourself, Dear Paul! An absolutely beautiful piece, played superbly. As far as the instrument, it's not really one of my favorites, but still quite good. I'm amazed that Woehl (is that the right spelling?) could fit so many stops into that case; it looks really shallow (thin from front to back), but maybe looks are deceiving! BRAVO! 😁💯🐧
