- Ever heard of prompt digging? It’s like crate digging, but instead of flipping through dusty vinyls in search of that hidden wax gem to turn you into the next DJ Premier, you’re riding the text-to-music AI wave, hunting for that next sample-worthy joint.
There are loads of cool text-to-music AIs out there, but let me drop some wisdom nuggets directly into your head brains…in my book, Google's MusicLM and Facebook's MusicGen are spinning the decks like no one’s business.
For this PO-33 kit and sample pack, I spun the virtual wheels of Facebook's MusicGen because the beta of MusicLM was acting like a tough doorman and wouldn’t let me in.
Hunting down that one prompt that spits out a banging, sample-worthy track can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack - or a rare vinyl in a mouldy charity shop, but oh trust me, it’s an algorithmic ride of fun! Enough waffles, time to drop the beat and start your own digging adventure!

If you're wondering how to transfer data to your @teenageengineering PO-33 or PO-133, don't worry - it's super simple.

Just download the backup file, connect your device with a 3.5mm stereo cable (use the “in” jack on the left-hand side of the PO-33 / PO-133). On your PO-33 / PO-133, press WRITE + SOUND + RECORD simultaneously (“rcu” should pop up on your screen) hit play on the transferring device. Grab a coffee and let the PO-33 / PO-133 do its thing (it’ll tell you when it’s done)!
All my samples and kits are copyright free - you can use them in your own productions, videos, or whatever. The main thing is: have fun with this kit (or any of my other kits or packs)!!! Let me know if you make a cool track with one of my kits or sample packs!

Hey there, sick video and the beats were dope in the pack. I was hoping to actually hear / see the samples in the folders but am realizing that maybe that test tone sounding file is like a PO33 specific file? I sadly don't own one but was wondering if there's any way to extract those without access to a PO33? Either way, thanks for an interesting take on the AI music creation DITC vibes!
Hey, thanks for stopping by, mate! Actually, evey PO-33 kit I make comes with a sample pack - so when you head over to my Gumroad, you should get access to a wav file (the PO-33 transfer sound file) and a rar file...the rar file contains all the loops and one shots I made for the respective pack! Hope this helps🤞

So just to make sure I'm getting the right file, I have a .RAR file that ended up containing a folder of 7 beats but don't see any one shots? I don't have a PO33 to check the PO33 file sadly but I"ll try chopping up those 7 beats in the meantime. Cheers!

@@CNTRRNDM i have two tools in development:
1) the renderer - converts chords, solo notes, text or other sort of related information to audio - it's fully algorithmic, not ai - but soon i'm planning to connect a reinforcement model to text and parametric inputs of the renderer. it's a bit like midi-player, but takes many forms of freetext instead of midi format files.
2) ai generator/remixer - that model which highly inspired by riffusion's ideas, but with change to algorithms, improving the quality and totally different dataset of course. this weekend i did even more changes to the algorithms, and got even more quality boost, so i think would need to make a break soon and make some demo renders for youtube finally 😸
