I've only recently taken the Big Finish plunge, and mostly starting with the 8th Doctor. Bloody loving them. However, you did kind of SHOW in these vids, but didn't really say... but look at the casts on some of these? Blood of the Daleks: Hayley Atwell, Anita Dobson, Kenneth Cranham. Glam Rock: Bernard Cribbins, Una Stubbs, Stephen Gately. Hayley Bloody Atwell!!!!!!!
My journey has been very much the same. Only decided to delve more into Big Finish than the 10 'Out of Time' trilogy this past year. Been working purely through 8's stories, and having only gotten past this point a few months ago, I remember being floored at how hard Hayley Atwell actually went in her role. It was almost hard to visualize her in it because her character was so cold-hearted
I actually just bought some of the Eighth Doctor stuff from Big Finish. Specifically, I bought Blood of the Dalek's 1&2, and Dark Eyes 1. So now I own Storm Warning, Sword of Orion, Blood of the Daleks, Dark Eyes 1, and Time War 1-4, plus a variety of stuff I got from Humble Bundle, but can't be assed to go through.
I agree with Phil Cornwell. Bernard Cribbens is Frobisher's favourite human form and the War Council trapped him in that form to use him as an assassin to kill the Doctor for desertion. They succeeded but alas they created a 1/4 Wiffadyl with an attitude problem.
So like, I've been hesitant to start the EDAs after burning out on the monthlies. Plus the cover art and episode titles of series 1 really didn't grab me. But now I'm tempted to check them out and Immortal Beloved sounds really interesting
The EDAs were a very different take on the 8th doctor, and i honestly wasn't really onboard with it to begin with. But then i got to the 2nd season of it. And i loved the stories and started really enjoying Lucie as a character. I feel like Paul McGann and Sheridan Smith have a really great chemistry and play off each other super well. But i will always consider Charlie to be the best companion for 8
"There's a starman waiting in the sky
They'd like to come and eat us, so we're probably gonna die"
I remember listening to these in bed years ago, it started my Big Finish brain rot.
The Return of the King
Love the Eighth Doctor Adventures - the perfect jumping-on point for anyone new to Big Finish.

Oh so like the pure bloods from Harry Potter
No, more like space nazis that look like pepperpots. Not all the pure bloods in harry potter were shitty. The weazleys were all right

I enjoyed this guide. I am becoming a fan of the Eighth Doctor/Lucie Miller stories

I'm considering picking up blood of the daleks for my first ever audio, this guide is making me interested in trying out the format.
