As a Kiwi, it's all water under the bridge.
What a great batsman Greg Chappell was, feared by New Zealand cricket followers. While he was at the crease he could, and often did, take the game away from us.

Noticed that all other Crash's interviews with "Legends" ran almost 26 to 28 minutes; Greg's just was about 14 minutes. Half of the expected. What happened? He didn't want to talk?

I really like Greg Chappell as a coach as well as a player. He is a tough person and wants to bring the change in Indian team.
His decision on SouravGanguly was right as he didn’t performed well during that time and doesn’t deserves a place in the team.
India, Everything runs through emotions and players didn’t fit into the Greg’s style of coaching except Rahul Dravid.
India won so many ODI matches during that time and all the experiments were clicked.
Sachin was never sacrificed his position for the team and always wants to open only. Sourav also tried to fit him in the middle order before 2003 WC but he couldn’t able to do it.
Bottom line is, People don’t like tough people and they want soft and friendly people but Greg tried to change the Indian team mentality to make them
Number one team in all conditions.

Worst comment ever seen😂. During that coach's tenure, India's team was ranked worst at number 8. You don't know bro. Also, that period was India's worst. At that time, he had ruined the cricket of our country. After his resignation, Indian cricket became successful.

@@SpiderMan-ei6km ok, no issues but I commented it as a hardcore cricket fan. I like Australian culture as they values the players based on the performance not based on the stats.
Indian team didn’t perform as their egos comes first than the nation but due to him, Raina blossomed well and also the other young players.
I can work under Chappell if he establishes any software company as only merit needs to be there to work with him.

@@krithikveer3355 ok, no problem. But after he left, how many youths have made a good career due to their skill and talent in their sport. Like, Kohli, Rohit, Dhoni, Yuvraj etc. Currently our cricket board selects our youngsters based on their performance. You will not forget that because of whom cricket will come to the Olympics after 100 years.

The underarm was symptomatic of Greg's mental health struggles at the time. But as much as I wish to support him in that, it's a decision he just has to live with. Everyone has an opinion, and no one cares about his attempts at mitigation.

I dont think he has ever tried to "excuse" himself from he responsibility of doing it, he just tries to explain why he did it. Which is different.
