After 110 years of #AstonMartin, and 75 years of the DB name - A New Era of Aston Martin begins starting with the so called “Super Tourer” The #DB12!
And don’t write it off as a mere facelift, as the changes here are the first sign of Aston really jumping ahead with their new #supercar line up. It starts a chain reaction with the other Aston Models, with the new vantage following suit and launched just NOW an updated DBX 707!
So DB12 starting a new era, with a unified approach across the brand. But really, this is the flagship Aston. So we’re going to leave no stone unturned today we will: Divulge all the secrets of the DB12 under the skin, a big interior breakdown of what’s changed including a look at the new 2024/2025 DBX 707 interior huge upgrade!
And then the drive: is this the worlds first Super Tourer? We will analyse this, how it stacks up to its rivals, and even explore the return of the V12!
So, is this the world's first Super Tourer? It’s a bold claim from a company, and a car series in the DBs that while always class leading in design, it’s always been a series hindered in some way
In the past that was a due to the chassis and drivability being not as dynamic as rivals, along with basic car infotainment. DB11 era solved much of this, with some massive advances thanks to the bonded aluminium platform, and a team behind the scenes bringing in proper driving dynamics across the range. But still, every car was on the back foot thanks to dated interior systems which were hand me downs from Mercedes!
DB12 changes all this - with Aston’s First ever in-house infotainment system, and doubling down on the racing focus the previous gen started in such a successful way!
You can partly thank the new CEO and CTO - Amadeo Felisa and Roberto Fedeli, who have come over from main rival Ferrari, and replaced ex AMG boss Mr Moers. Hence perhaps why, the bold claims of the first Super Tourer are made, while the Roma already exists! Punchy! Let’s see if DB 12 can live up to it!
The performance upgrades are massive. In the DB11 this V8 made 528bhp - But now it’s a huge 680PS! That’s way more power than even the old DB11 AMR’s V12 managed!

I love how the screens look properly integrated and not just tacked on iPads.
I recognized the steering immediately, looks like my e63s wheel, other than that I'm looking to buy one once the prices start to drop in a year or two !
I, however, hate all kind of screens in cars. Analog dashes were so simple and beautiful, no crap screen can replicate that!
Aston Martin is building dream cars right now 🔥
They always have been
First: Very good presentation of the car👌
Second: That spec is gorgeous🤯
Thanks guys! Just the best spec right?!
@@RemoveBeforeRaceYeah, that matte silver really works. Reminds me of the DB5, yet being a modern interpretation. Interior could be tan….then I would trade it in for our SuperTrofeo Stradale😅😇
New Vanquish is the car I'm excited for
DBS
830hp V12, they were in their bag with that one
It's crazy how much better and more elegant it looks compared to 12 Cylindri
And they're just getting warmed up.. Just wait until the new vanquish
@@ethanahmed08New vanquish coming?
@@porsche_panameragts1216 Of course, it's the DBS Superleggera replacement. When Aston revealed their new 835hp V12 a few weeks bag the tagine was "All with be Vanquished". Don't think you can be more obvious than that.
@@trim105it's actually not even a DBS Superleggera replacement but an ultimate front engine high end supercar, the gap between that upcoming model and DB12/New Vantage is gonna be significantly bigger than the gap between DBS Superleggera and DB11/old Vantage.
Can't wait for that beast to be revealed in August ( allegedly )
I think when they said "All will be Vanquished" it was a shot at that Ferrari.
love the front end. And the interior is such a huge upgrade compared to the db11
This car has me having 2nd thoughts about a Porsche 911 being my dream car.
I've moved on from Porsches to an Aston. Wish I had done it earlier!
Do it. And when you find yourself giving up while being gapped by a Turbo S / GT3 in a canyon as though you were in a Dodge Charger - just remember - you made the right choice.
Lottery win purchase. I absolutely love it.
Never been crazy about Astons, but this looks absolutely stunning
An absolutely BRILLIANT review, thank you! In fact, I think this is the best DB12 review to date (and, trust me, I've watched 'em all!). Aston Martin should have invited you down to the South of France for those first drives a few months back, but your review has been more than worth the wait, PLUS its more relevant as you've driven it on UK roads, the home of Aston Martin. I have the serious hots for this car. I've always been a big fan of Aston Martin, but there cars were always compromised, most recently in terms of interior tech. But the DB12 seems to be the first AM where you don't have to make excuses. I also appreciate you're on the ball and included the camo'd DBS replacement (likely just reverting to just the Vanquish name.....not DBS Vanquish). If that car is a DB12 turned up to 11 with a 824hp V12......oh my word! In the meantime, I've had fun on the AM configuration. "My" DB12 is in Aston Racing Green, with the bronze wheels and a black and tan interior. Just a pity my bank balance is more Ford Mustang than Aston Martin DB12 lol. Again, thank you for the brilliant video 🙂
I love how you blurred out the speedometer 😂
What i love about it is the console/ instruments integratiin, looks so good in an era of ipads randomly glued
*talks about in-house infotainment*
*ex ferrari bosses*
I wouldn't be too excited
Beautiful as always. Looks like 177. Thats a great thing. Looks mean and buff. The Interior now is a game changer. Its absolutely beautiful, modern and classy. A huge lift.
boy do i hope the new vantage and this db12 depreciate as much as the vh platform cars, so i can actually get one of them one day
They will. That's something you can always count on with Aston Martin 😂 honestly I'd only get a new one if I really really wanted my own unique spec, otherwise you can usually find decent specs on the used market at great prices, even when it comes to newer models.
Very thorough review with professional standard presentation and excellent effects to aid explanations. Brilliant, hope to see many more.
You are legend keep it coming. Like your work and how u describe a proper way of such a machine 👏
Great review. Good details of the interior. Good compares with other models. Smart observations. Thank you and Congrats!
Really in-depth review... I love it!
Great review - interior fx are a brilliant touch, really highlights the difference between old and new. Just need Aston to lend me one for Le Mans this year.
The interior vfx are really nice. I wouldn’t have thought it would be useful but when you showed the old interior superimposed on the new one, I really saw the value in it. Great job.
Did I miss your video on the new Vantage? You mentioned another video but I can’t find it?
Imagine this having a aftermarket cold air intake system with the filters behind the grille😂. It’d look so fire🔥🔥🔥
That dashboard panel transition lol
Fantastic review. Thank you.
Can you do the Volante?
Great job Porsche for designing Aston’s for them - exact silhouette as a 911 and down to the PRND knob and button cluster.
Another stunning, classy design from Aston Martin. No gimmicky goofy grill or body work. BMW’s design team could learn a few lessons from AM.
Great video. Thanks.
Subscribeed for the clear talent in vfx. Keep coming back for the reviews. God I'd love to see a vfx workflow videofrom you....
To be honest, I'm so happy to see the new interior. I might actually consider the new Vantage.
Nice video. Good review… i like.. nice car!! Nice interior.
In other countries the DB12 is almost double the price of the AMG GT
Well Astons are hand built with much higher quality materials and leathers etc. That's where a lot of the price premium comes from
I love your channel brother. You cover important info in a unique and visual way everyone understands. How you ever thought about buying old classic cars eg 90s bmw m series old vauxhalls.. Ford escort.cosworths and maybe old quattros and lancias etc and rebuilding or doing projects with younger mechanics
subbed for the intro!
Nice review
love the new Astons, new favourite brand.
The DB12 review I’ve been waiting for
Stunning car, stunning review. Thanks.
Looks top-notch!
Quality review
Amazing car teat drove it and will buy one God willing!
That thing is stunning
Wow the new interior is night and day 💪🔥💯
your videos are very good
The navy commando inspired jumper was a nice touch.
Great video as always! Im not sure I love the groove behind the top of the front wheels. I think I prefer the Vantage in the looks department, but still a great looking car.
Looks like Aston Martin have nailed it.
Great car.
Thank you
😎😎😎👍👍👍
Great car! Greater review!!
Is the tailgate manually operated?
The seamless hood bonnet in the db11 looked stunning. It really impacts negatively the design of the db12
Beautiful car inside out....infact it's one of the best looking cars out there full stop 🛑..
so beautiful car
Love how you directly compare one car and the other - superb
But we must call a 'hood' a *bonnet* please - we're British!!
What a beautiful thing
That rear end needs more work, at least quad exhaust. A well built automobile, great work Aston Martin.❤️😉🤗
It is practically perfection. If only Throttle House didn’t review it 10 months ago 😅
Previous Aston interiors really lagged behind .It were really messy and not great to say the least but now it is miles ahead and i would say it is better than some of its competitors.
Beautiful car ,not to keen on the side vents ,prefer the smaller clasic one on older models also the rear boot lid could do with a bit of a flick up to finish it off
which is better vantage or db12?
AML have smashed it!!!
Alright, I'm holding out my hopes of the new Vanquish now, V12 is just underway 🤑
I would have liked the Db12 with a DBS rear as well
Beautiful car! Great presentation as always.
As I get older I am leaning more towards the Bentley.
Carplay only?
Weed wacker - my experience is that, where the nose and ears are concerned, those areas don’t need trimming because as soon as you do begin trimming those areas, in the long run hair starts sprouting drastically and to be honest, best to leave those areas to grow normally. Just saying..
There you are wrong who to thank for the new maintenance system.
Because it's actually Lawrence Stroll
as one should thank for the maintenance system in Aston Martin, For Lawrence Stroll said: that the Aston Martin cars are not worth the price that customers have to pay, when the cars are new but the maintenance system is outdated. So Lawrence Stroll told Aston Martin's CO and CTO to scrap the old maintenance system and come up with a new maintenance system.
Lawrence Stroll has bought into Aston Martin and it is he who has ensured that sales of Aston Martin's road cars are also lifted.
the tan interior is such a better spec 😍
This would look good in the next bond film
And Aston is back……….that looks a machine and thank goodness the interior doesn’t instantly look ten years old. Someone actually woke up to how poor that old interior and information screen looked….think the Volante DB12 is now the sweet spot. Stunning looking.
cant wait for the new Aston Martin DBS
Raz - would you rather have this or the GT63 Coupe?
Can’t decide buddy. Need to drive the GT on UK roads!
I wonder if Aston will provide a service to retrim the old dbx interiors
Don't think it will be possible, the electronics and infotainment system is quite different so would probably be too much work and effort to change.
@@trim105 you may be right, but when there is money there is a way.
I see what you did with your watch, Mr. Bond
The best front engined AMG powered sports/ super car there is.
Aston Martin db10
I like everything except the digital dash.
Why the old version better than the new one to me I prefer the old one ❤❤❤
why the centre console is like that..?…?..🧐..
Love the front and side view, dont love the back lights
Db12 should’ve had a v12.
It’s gorgeous. The perfect gentlemen’s car.
Bro really felt the NEED to flex the watch as much as possible lol
Finally DB worthy of the 2007 one.
How much is this kind of car
🎉
It's too astonishing
Dude I really love your videos but you have GOT to chill with the special effects volume😅😅😅
I’ve always thought Aston Martins looked stunning since I was a young kid but it’s rather impressive for their designers to continuously design gorgeous cars that always stop traffic. BMW on the other hand seemed to have injected their designers with some kind of serious hallucinogenic drugs for them to keep on coming up with hideous or unremarkable designs.
So basically everyone expect Mercedes is fully utilizing the AMG engine.
How do I like this video more?😂😂😂😂😂😂
I really love the new Aston interiors, a massive upgrade on all the new models.
no thanks needs 2b 4 wheel drive for our uk weather especially in the wet roads in the winter, Jeremy clarkson found that out driving on wet roads the car was hopeless with u trying to put all that power down through rear wheel drive only !! ok if u live in the south of Spain or some where like that!
Even though it was a talking point that the DBS had trouble putting power down, I think that video with Clarkson and the DBS in the Grand Tour was a little embellished. Bear in mind, the DBS 770 pretty much eliminated all issues the standard DBS had in terms of handling, dynamics and power delivery.
Also you don't necessarily need 4wd even in UK weather, I daily a C63s coupe year round, as long as you're sensible in bad weather it's perfectly fine (in the rare event it snows I just borrow the wife's X3 😂)
@@trim105 appreciate ta
👍🏻
At some point beauty reaches its peak then its all downhills. For aston it was the db9
For AM to be taken seriously 3.7 is not quick… they need to match Ferrari to be back on the stage
No one really talks about the gran Turismo..
Dang! I thought it was a Lexus Lc500 😂
🥂🏆
What happened to the Aston Martin muscle car that’s been “in development” for the last decade?
This car is almost too nice
