I recognized the steering immediately, looks like my e63s wheel, other than that I'm looking to buy one once the prices start to drop in a year or two !
@@RemoveBeforeRaceYeah, that matte silver really works. Reminds me of the DB5, yet being a modern interpretation. Interior could be tan….then I would trade it in for our SuperTrofeo Stradale😅😇
An absolutely BRILLIANT review, thank you! In fact, I think this is the best DB12 review to date (and, trust me, I've watched 'em all!). Aston Martin should have invited you down to the South of France for those first drives a few months back, but your review has been more than worth the wait, PLUS its more relevant as you've driven it on UK roads, the home of Aston Martin. I have the serious hots for this car. I've always been a big fan of Aston Martin, but there cars were always compromised, most recently in terms of interior tech. But the DB12 seems to be the first AM where you don't have to make excuses. I also appreciate you're on the ball and included the camo'd DBS replacement (likely just reverting to just the Vanquish name.....not DBS Vanquish). If that car is a DB12 turned up to 11 with a 824hp V12......oh my word! In the meantime, I've had fun on the AM configuration. "My" DB12 is in Aston Racing Green, with the bronze wheels and a black and tan interior. Just a pity my bank balance is more Ford Mustang than Aston Martin DB12 lol. Again, thank you for the brilliant video 🙂
@@porsche_panameragts1216 Of course, it's the DBS Superleggera replacement. When Aston revealed their new 835hp V12 a few weeks bag the tagine was "All with be Vanquished". Don't think you can be more obvious than that.
@@trim105it's actually not even a DBS Superleggera replacement but an ultimate front engine high end supercar, the gap between that upcoming model and DB12/New Vantage is gonna be significantly bigger than the gap between DBS Superleggera and DB11/old Vantage. This car is SO beautifully designed inside and outside. Big WOW here. I'd take a DB12 over a Roma anytime. So much more quality and attention to details. The new CEOs are killing it. The new AMs are just knocking it out of the park. DB12, new Vantage, new Vanquish: all of them are sick as hell! Awesome review again and I laughed out loud when you made that spiderman joke 😅. So glad I found this channel yesterday. I'm addicted!
The first video I've ever seen of yours. Very impressive. Very competent review and clever use of switching between car animations, I've never seen that before.
The interior vfx are really nice. I wouldn’t have thought it would be useful but when you showed the old interior superimposed on the new one, I really saw the value in it. Great job.
Beautiful as always. Looks like 177. Thats a great thing. Looks mean and buff. The Interior now is a game changer. Its absolutely beautiful, modern and classy. A huge lift.
Great review - interior fx are a brilliant touch, really highlights the difference between old and new. Just need Aston to lend me one for Le Mans this year.
Stumbled on your Channel. Enjoy your format - stands out! Liked your comparison to the DB12's contemporaries - perhaps you might consider adding a price comparison too... for context 🤔
Do it. And when you find yourself giving up while being gapped by a Turbo S / GT3 in a canyon as though you were in a Dodge Charger - just remember - you made the right choice.
I love your channel brother. You cover important info in a unique and visual way everyone understands. How you ever thought about buying old classic cars eg 90s bmw m series old vauxhalls.. Ford escort.cosworths and maybe old quattros and lancias etc and rebuilding or doing projects with younger mechanics
For those of us who simply found your channel bc of the car we're researching and aren't necessarily car guys the animations are GREAT but please label them in the future. Lots of switching back and forth resulted in me just zonning out bc I didn't know which versions I was looking at (particularly at the 9 min mark)
They will. That's something you can always count on with Aston Martin 😂 honestly I'd only get a new one if I really really wanted my own unique spec, otherwise you can usually find decent specs on the used market at great prices, even when it comes to newer models.
For me the perfect Aston has to have a V12.. In my opinion the best engine layout that exists. Naturally aspirated V12. Its not just about the power. And V8 can not replace it. I dont care what the car industry says. Well I can just stick with old cars. I honestly dont need any of the new ones. Vanquish S Volante. Its where its at. And if people buy these instead those will be cheaper. I am willing to spend money on a full restoration if necessary. Goodbye new cars. Maybe some manufacturer will go back to the roots. I feel like we are at the stage were digital clocks just released and people predicted analogue clocks to die and be useless. Well naturally aspirated V12 without any electric stuff will at some point come back. Looking forward to it. A pure mechanical car no batteries, fixeable. Barebones infotainment. No sensors no self driving. Back to the roots.
I’ve always thought Aston Martins looked stunning since I was a young kid but it’s rather impressive for their designers to continuously design gorgeous cars that always stop traffic. BMW on the other hand seemed to have injected their designers with some kind of serious hallucinogenic drugs for them to keep on coming up with hideous or unremarkable designs. Now I’m speaking as a current owner of a 2022 M550i, my 11th BMW since 1992. My older daughter drives an X4M so it’s a family thing.

I would love to buy one; it's a beautiful car. But I'm not Fernando Alonso-I just need something practical for work, trips to the supermarket, and the occasional long drive across the country. The lack of an AWD system, however, kept me from going for it. Instead, I opted for a Bentley Continental. It's much easier to live with on a daily basis.
The smaller screen works well though. The focus of the vehicle shouldnt be detracted by a massive ipad with huge buttons. The icons imo are large enough to be useful but dont steal any attention
Slightly out of my budget...I'm replacing my RS5 Vorsprung coupe next year. But very nice indeed...I won't bother talking about the interior change as everyone feels the same about it.
Weed wacker - my experience is that, where the nose and ears are concerned, those areas don’t need trimming because as soon as you do begin trimming those areas, in the long run hair starts sprouting drastically and to be honest, best to leave those areas to grow normally. Just saying..

no thanks needs 2b 4 wheel drive for our uk weather especially in the wet roads in the winter, Jeremy clarkson found that out driving on wet roads the car was hopeless with u trying to put all that power down through rear wheel drive only !! ok if u live in the south of Spain or some where like that!
Even though it was a talking point that the DBS had trouble putting power down, I think that video with Clarkson and the DBS in the Grand Tour was a little embellished. Bear in mind, the DBS 770 pretty much eliminated all issues the standard DBS had in terms of handling, dynamics and power delivery. Also you don't necessarily need 4wd even in UK weather, I daily a C63s coupe year round, as long as you're sensible in bad weather it's perfectly fine (in the rare event it snows I just borrow the wife's X3 😂)

At this price point I don’t want to be sold on 4 less cylinders! Clearly engineers are getting more power out of these engines across the board while maintaining or improving fuel economy!
