Hello from Argentina ¡¡¡ the best this tutorials ¡¡¡ I am looking for the armor of Alphonse Elric from FMA. If you know where to get it let me know? Thank you
I know to never to do that again. Haha. I dunno why I sprayed it with gloss. It looked so good matte. I should’ve only have done the badge. Foam stuff doesn’t really need a clear coat in the grand scheme of things. I never had any issues in the past with not putting one on. Only if you want it glossy. I’m so relieved it worked. I’ve only started using the floor Wax recently. Never had to bring a shine down from foam props. 😅
I have never made anything like this. Would you say this is an easy starter helmet? If I dont have an airbrush could I use spray paint? I really want to try doing this but I dont know if you just make it look very easy
You can paint it by hand with acrylic based paint if you have to. It’ll still turn out nice. I wouldn’t use spray paint as it’ll crack on the foam when it’s flexed. It’s an easy starter project. Sorry for the delay in response.
I’ll keep trying to make them free for the next few weeks. Even after, I would like to do 1-2 a month free for you guys. I was away a long time. I owe you some free content right now.

There was talk of a second one but never happened. I 3d printed two of the 2012 ones for me and the wife were going to go to the R.I. con but covid ruined those plans . we were MR. and MRS. Dredd it would have been cool. 3d printed the lawgivers too. Oh and I just turned 55 you look like a pup still.

Awesome helmet! Mate, you need to make the rest of the costume. Epic build.
I would love to one day. Depends how well this video does to let me know if it’s worth it for content.
It would be great to see you combine techniques- EVA/ Pepakura for body armour, and 3D printing/finishing techniques for the weapon.
I actually made the lawgiver with a 3d print and made a mold to cast them years ago.
That’s awesome how you were able to knock down the gloss after it got shiny!
