I still remember a chess match I had a few years ago, when I was in highschool, during an amateur chess tournament. I was winning, I had all my next moves planned out, a path was wide open for a pawn to turn into a queen. Then my opponent en passanted me and my mental got annihilated. I felt so stupid that I forgot that that could happen. I've hated that move ever since and I think I'm irrationally paranoid about it now.
I love that move but the same happened me, I was totally winning in an amateur tournament and my enemy was even low on time (like 30 seconds against my 1:30 or something like that) but he en passant me and then I got so distracted I lost on time.
Einstein would had beaten Magnus if both were alive at the same time and if they played chess since, if you saw the match against Oppenheimer, he won by sacrificing most of his pieces and won, and also he’s a chess genius around his time, and I think whatever move Magnus plays, Einstein already saw and found a counter to it.
