It takes time and research, and John has it down to a science, so that in any given season he has multiple hunting areas to choose from. In this episode, he breaks down his methods for finding and choosing top deer hunting land. Remember, John doesn't own any land, pay any leases or hire any outfitters. Every deer hunting property is either free ask-for-permission private land, or open public hunting land. Season 1. Episode 1.

Its nice he says near Ag, areas. Not all hunting has Ag areas anywhere near them. I have no Ag areas anywhere close to me. Its just endless mountains with hard and soft woods lije a jungle. No food plots, no Ag fields. Its thick woods and when hunting season starts you are lucky to see 25 yards. Thats where i would like to see these guys give advice or see them hunt by themselves to kill a mature white tail.
With that said i truly enjoy all of the videos you provide and any hunting tips are greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

Great tips John ! 80% Ag with 20% Timber ! I hunt in Maine, Mass, NH & Vermont and mostly I hunt mountainous, Timber covered land with no AG. I think I need to figure out where to place food plots to give deer a destination to travel to ... and then hunt the transition routes ! Thanks John !

Should I go straight to the bedding thick cover? Or just I go around the and get him on the opposite side of his scrape line. I’m the only hunter on 40 acres. I have a water shed in between
