You saved my LIFE because I just photographed my brother’s wedding and NO WAY I would have made it through without your settings and tutorials! Thanks a million for your amazing videos!🤩🙏🎉
Hey, Magic. Thanks so much. I shot a wedding a few days ago and your settings were really helpful, in terms of speed. However, the issue I had was that exposure was often not right in aperture priority. Can you tell me what metering mode you use, please? My camera tended to expose for the brightest part of the image, even when I was in spot metering mode. Thanks very much.
This is great for aspiring wedding photographers. The breakdown of common mistakes is spot on. Exposure, framing, and flash are often overlooked. Great tips on how to avoid them. Definitely saving this for future reference. Any suggestions for affordable lighting equipment for beginners? Would love to hear your thoughts.
Looking forward to the aperture priority mode video Magic! I often switch to manual as the AP mode on my IV doesn’t get the shutter speed right for freezing movement
When in aperture priority and auto ISO you control the minimum shutter speed. So on your A7IV you will have no problem freezing the action. Just set the minimum shutter in auto iso to your desired speed. Like Magic I have my Auto iso minimum shutter set to a custom button.
I agree with most of what you say, like you I work mainly in Aperture priority occasionally switching to manual. How close I shoot to couples does depend on the couple as some I photograph are very uncomfortable in front of the camera. So I get better shots with my 85 shooting silent than I would up close with my 35GM. Hopefully it's not long to wait for the 85GMII :)
ciao, Magic! Thanks for all this! I'm on points 2, 3 and 4... still learning more about 5 and really scared to go with number 1. I still shot manual, ISO included, and I'm pretty much ok with underexposing and all the stuff, but yes, it's really stressful! XD I definitely need to try! I use 2 x Sony a7IV body, Sony 50 mm f 1.2 and Sigma Art 24-70 mm f 2.8
Hi Magic! When you are in aperture priority mode with auto ISO and you quickly need to increase your shutter speed higher than the minimum SS of 250, do you just switch back to “M” mode to increase your shutter speed? Sometimes when I have a moving subject I need my SS to be faster than 250 but the camera will always choose to reduce SS to minimum before raising ISO. This is for situations when my aperture is already as open as I feel comfortable.
quick question what is the cost of Magicadabra is it $59.00 or $59,00.00 ? It might a silly question but just want to be sure the font is confusing me 🙂
How is the A9III doing for your weddings? Are you experiencing any dynamic range issues? How is the shadow recovery working out for you as compared to the A7RV?
I need a best on-camera flash setting outdoor at night with really low light. The situation was I can't use any off camera flash and the was no bouncing wall or ceiling (black and high ceiling) and it was really dark and I don't want to do the direct flash shooting because I am not really good at it, I can bounce the flash indoor quite ok. Any small suggestion? thx
@@TaeThitiChannel you could just hold a flash in the hand to get softer non direct look. Or use some sort of modifiers depending on the look you’re going for
Number 4: I'd say getting closer with your 35 or 24 gives a more photojournalistic look. Mr Capa did say: “If your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough.” 👍 Thank you for the great vid. 🙏🏼

Depending on the situation u guess. Most of the times I just quickly change minimum SS to 1/500 or higher if needed
What min auto ISO SS do you use? I set it to 1/500
@@gamebuster800 mostly 1/250 and I go above or below if needed

Great point Adam! And such a great quote from Capa - thanks for sharing!
Not relevant, but I stopped the video when you said ‘s. Is the best…’. Enough is enough.
Your name is not magic! =)) just say "hi, i'm magic", but don't say "my name is magic", beacause it's not, it's Maciej, ok ? :)))
