I have tried to find the answer to why my SE625 is putting the needle down between thread colors now (and not cutting the thread). It was raising the needle and clipping the thread, but I must have changed a setting. Sorry to ask this here, Christopher, but I know you and others have used the SE625 lately and might be able to help me.
I am so fortunate to have found your channel…I own the VM5100 but never received training on it because the shop owners moved in parallel of my purchase…and yes…I’m a grandmother whose husband bought this for me to replace the Elna he bought for me because I hand embroidered everything or used my mother in law’s Singer machine for sewing that SHE had owned for decades. 😄 I’ve been embroidering on the DreamCreator for over five years and I love it but I am self taught, reading and learning along the way. Your videos have given me so much knowledge in the last few days! You explain and demo every detail so clearly and it’s almost like you have zeroed in on my own personal embroidery issues! I thank you so VERY much! What a talented, gifted young man you are….your work is gorgeous!
Can you use this method for edge to edge designs or quilting designs using a regular hoop? Split designs? I use my software to split designs but can't line them up.
I have never tried edge-to-edge quilt designs on a Brother border hoop. I rarely do any quilting. Try contacting Brother directly and see if they can assist you. Thanks for watching.
Hi Christopher, I know this probably isn't the place to ask this question. So I apologize in advance. My question is I have a Brother 2002d machine which has less than 25 hours on it, and has been converted from card to USB . I am wanting to embroider some pictures I have on my computer. What is the easiest, most cost efficient way to go about doing this? I would rather not sink a bundle of money into digitizing software if at all possible. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I don't know if I am answering your question, but are you familiar with Inkscape? It is a drawing package that is Open Source. That is, software that is developed by people that do it for themselves and others without pay. You can download it for free. It has an add-on (called InkStitch - also free) with which you can make files that can be used by machine embroidery sewing machines (on Brother, Babylock and other machine embroidery sewing machines) to make designs that you would make by expensive embroidery software (Embrilliance, Hatch, Embird). It is somewhat challenging to use, but it is very capable.

I would have to go and read the manual.

Would this apply to the brother V5LE also thanks
I do not own that model machine you mentioned. But do read your instruction manual to find out. Thanks for asking.
