This is witchcraft istg. I almost returned these beige trousers I bought because not only are they an inch too long but the stitches are invisible so I thought I wouldn't be able to shorten it like I usually would. Thank god I found this video tho, LIFESAVER
Thank you so much!!! My short 4 year old daughter can start school tomorrow on her shortened size 3 trousers! You made it look easy, but it was actually easy to do too!! I can't thank you enough! 💖
thank you so much! i ordered pants online and they are a bit too long for me! i don't know much about sewing so this tutorial was heavens send! it was easy to understand! i'll try it asap!
Thank you so much! I knew there was an invisible stitch that could be done!! I am hemming my son's new tux for Prom! He will need one later for music performances at university, so we just purchased one. 🙂
You're just too cute! I've never seen a hand stitched over-lock stitch. I really like it! I also like the way you did a zig zag blind stitch. Great lesson - thank you!
Thank You! Why is the needle so sharp on both ends? It hurts my fingers a lot. The pants are a dark color so maybe no one will see all the little spots of blood.
I know what you mean, and no matter how many times you poke yourself its a startling, jarring, surprise all over again. I guess thats what thimbles are for.
Thank you so much for making this tutorial. I have to hem my pants for a corporal event I’m working at tomorrow and I was completely lost. I really appreciate you explaining your method. ☺️🙏🏼
This seems difficult at first sign but once you figure it out it actually works, thank you for this great tutorial im never spending money to let others short my pants :)
THIS is the place where nano carbon muscle in fabric helps if placed in key areas the persons body heat compresses the fabric to be gathered automatically or in the case where you dont want bagginess the coolness can be made to react to the nano carbon muscle fiber too both shrinking and expanding models are made.
Hope they came out good! Need to do this on my own pants. Going to practice some of these stitches on scrap fabric before I do that to my own dress pants
@@clarissalopez4552 It took awhile but I got it right eventually. The best advice is to just take your time. Doing practice stitches on scrap fabric is a good idea. Good Luck!.
In the elections for a Mayor of London only one candidate had trousers that fit. The legs on all the others were all wrinkly . If you want to be Mayor of London you have to fix your pants first . Very good video .
I don't want my pants to be cut. I just want to fold the length and stich anyway thank you for your teaching it's great very helpful good video well decent
What do you mean by use the needle tip to pick a thread from the other side?? At 3:35? I like the outer thread job in the beginning. Once I figure out the 2nd part I'll be good.
The thread she picked is from the clothing itself but if that didn't answer ur question u can switch to this tutorial, I think it'll help u ruclips.net/video/-glaaf_dY0E/видео.html
If I need to cut off 2 1/4 inches, when I fold it back up, am I still only folding up an inch like you did or do I fold it the same length as it originally was before I touched it?
Hey, I don't get why you didn't knot the shorter tail of the thread when you threaded the needle second time. Won't the thread separate from the needle?
Can also cut with pinking shears or turn over raw edge and sew down by hand or machine. Since it will be turned over one more time to stitch the blind hem, sewn raw edge will not show.
Thanks for showing this. Great video. Do you have any idea why my pants are always bulging in the front? The crotch area. They always do. Even tailored made.
bone_doc To stop the material fraying. The stitches are sewn closer together on a machine and are therefore more secure, but if you don't have access to a machine then you can use this technique. Or even avoid sewing the edge altogether, by just cutting the fabric using pinking shears (scissors with jagged blades) then ironing it well after folding. The jagged edge helps prevent fraying too.
this video has all the potential to help a dummy like me but unfortunately it didn't. Why? you are cutting out the video and I don't know how to follow you. Please make a single shot video so we understand and follow you properly. Thanks

I thought I knew how to hem pants with an invisible hem. This technique is SO much better!
Thank you so much!!! My short 4 year old daughter can start school tomorrow on her shortened size 3 trousers! You made it look easy, but it was actually easy to do too!! I can't thank you enough! 💖
That's exactly how I was taught to do it, and my mother who learned it from her mother. You can't beat the classics.
Great tutorial! Your the one person I found that explains it without making it overly complicated. Thank you!!
thank you so much! i ordered pants online and they are a bit too long for me! i don't know much about sewing so this tutorial was heavens send! it was easy to understand! i'll try it asap!
Man what an excellent tutorial. My flannel pajamas will no longer drag on the floor.❤ 5 stars
This is the tricky stitch. It`s loose enough to keep the hem tidy but can move as well ,like a ship`s anchor . Best trouser vote from me .

JubeeBijou it's usually called a "blanket stitch".

Use a thimble
I know what you mean, and no matter how many times you poke yourself its a startling, jarring, surprise all over again. I guess thats what thimbles are for.
You should make embroidery of flowers or some random design to hide the blood
this sounds so morbid
Thank you so much for making this tutorial. I have to hem my pants for a corporal event I’m working at tomorrow and I was completely lost. I really appreciate you explaining your method. ☺️🙏🏼
You should probably be working on your presentation :p

Measure the sides from belt to bottom edge. Then use French Chalk to avoid mistakes .
Would it fall part once the pants are washed?
This is briliant
Please help. I don’t understand the second part of stitching. Why is it invisible ?❤ how did u do that
Hey, I don't get why you didn't knot the shorter tail of the thread when you threaded the needle second time. Won't the thread separate from the needle?
I don't know, yet!
double thread will make stitch visible. it's a basic technique of hem stitch.
So helpful
Thanks a lot dear
That was very easy to follow, thank you!
thanks. i learned how to stop the unraveling. i never knew that before.

Yeah I don’t think I’m gonna be able to do that 😰
Me neither, couldn't see the 2nd hem procedure. I bought some sticky hem tape 👻
S. Smith I literally bought the hemming web after this!! Worked well enough, I didn’t have a iron so had to use an old straightener ahah
Thank you
Thanks for this video! Helped a lot!

Good .... I tried same...feel good...
The part that I always fail at, is cutting them and the outer part is longer then the inner.
Thanks for showing this. Great video.
Do you have any idea why my pants are always bulging in the front?
The crotch area. They always do. Even tailored made.

so easily explained ^_^ thanks!
This is real helpful anx a lot👍👍👍👍
Amazing
Super helping
What's the point of sewing the folded edge? It doesn't look like you use that when you actually fold up the edge?
bone_doc To stop the material fraying. The stitches are sewn closer together on a machine and are therefore more secure, but if you don't have access to a machine then you can use this technique.
