@@nocturnallsnake4228 as a violist I found that play in an orchestra or in a quartet is so pleasent because you are surrounded by others instruments and sounds wheareas often when you're a violinist you're in the outside
Eccezionale!!
I play viola to and would luv to know where you found the sheet music you play this piece with such enthusiasm and your facial expressions show all the haunting and deep meaning in this piece, well done luv your work and absolutely luv the song!
In part it's because fewer people play viola. Also how the beautifully bitter and haunting mid tones of the viola are overshadowed by the piercing sweet punch of the violin, and the broad and rich tones of the cello. Having occasionally played some prog metal here and there, I understand how hard it is to get mid tones to shine through when you have a wall of sound, as with an orchestra.
Hello, I'd like to add to that conversation a few years too late - typical for violas, innit? :D The instrument is bigger, thus it's more of an act to really push the strings down to produce good notes, thus we are slower. Really, when I touch a violin for whatever reason, it's just like: woah. You guys don't have to work for sound?? And from that it just goes: slow, lazy, always wrong, but laid back af. Anyway, I wish you all the best in the following five years aswell. :)

Man, as a violist I can say, violas are extremely underated
Yes we are
I must agree I'm one of the only three violas in my class.
Lauren Crofford ONLY three??? We have got only two People on the whole School who can Play viola...(but I want to learn it)
You should it's super fun.
Lauren Crofford SAME OH MY GOSH.
I. Love. His. Viola.
this is why I play viola....for that beautiful C string
Me too :)
It is not only one string.
FIVE STRINGS VIOLIN
It's such a haunting and bitter sound... Violas are so underrated (from a wandering flute player)
Yo I play flute too!
This Anzoletti is a hard composer to track down. We should be grateful to Misciagna for highlighting him.
your vibrato tho
can i borrow your skills....forever
I play violin, but ugh. Viola is so beautiful. I can't decide which one I like more.
Spooky Psyche It's simple, you like viola more
A Swedish Fish yes master
*cough* viola
Some prefer the sound of the viola but the violin plays the best parts.

Amazing performance and thanks for posting this!
Is there a link to the sheet music for this?
why does everyone always hate on the violas
Because not as many people play violas as the do cellos or violins.
In part it's because fewer people play viola. because of twosetviolin xD
