Absolutely ❤ LOVE how Dan spends time talking about a concept from ALL the perspectives, as they are equally important: Techniques + Music Theory + Musicality/Creativity/Resulting Sound.
Always excellent material, excellently taught. Thanks, Dan!

Hi Dan, great clear video as always. Can you please make a video on how to play pentatonic shapes across fretboard, utilizing them for melody and fill creation (or else if you have already made one, pls do share the link). 😊i am struggling, even to connect the shapes, and when i do, don't know how to make anything melodic, out of it.. thanks

That was a good lesson. I’m a I-IV-V guy, usually blues and 60-70s rock that is a bit more elaborate, but not like this. Imma gonna promise myself to look into your chords for bass lessons. They’d be fun to play during solo practice drills. Soloing from chords and scales in a melodic progression would be wonderful. Hmmm. Bet Stevie Wonders type songs could be approached this way. Gotta think. I haven’t looked, but maybe you’ve done some of those type melodies Dan?

For versatility's sake he is playing through a DAW (PC), using an Audio Interface that he is directly plugged into.
Within that DAW, on his Bass's track, he has a plugin active: Waves CLA-Guitar. He has this track in "Live listen" mode.
This is also how he is adding the jam-along drum track to play along with.

Very good analysis. Dunno if that info is on Dan’s page, but I have a similar type of equipment; Final Cut Pro, used through my Scarlett 4i4 interface. I’m on an iPad, which is a slight downgrade compared to a PC, but my neck of the woods hasn’t seen an internet provider willing to install for my neighborhood; yet. Promises though. But cellular data has to suffice until then.
Regardless, I can duplicate most of the efforts. Even the lowly GarageBand app could probably suffice, as a simple DAW with plugins and an integrated drummer like “Kyle,” and others.
      Thanks again Dude!

Stick at it and gradually work on the stretch - you’ll get it in time!
