The transcription of a solo is an essential step in learning jazz! In my videos, I try to achieve each solo as best as possible, accompanying the soloist who plays them.
I hope that this will help you discover the value of practicing this exercise, which is of course not intended to be played in public afterwards, but rather to enrich the improvised game.
The solo transcribing is in my opinion one of the best ways to learn jazz, in the same way you would study a concerto or a study.

beautifully transcribed and played. I'm curious if after the experience of transcribing do you prefer to quote Django/Stephane or do you stick to how you would play over minor swing, or perhaps a combination of both? I remember reading through SG transcriptions years ago and haven't returned to the process as I wanted to develop my own sound and choice of phrases. Its a very effective way of entering the world of Improv, especially on a violin to transcribe but eventually once you get it would you recommend to an advanced student to continue the transcribing process or continue on ones own path of sound discovery. thank you!

En jazz on accorde le violon comme pour les autres musiques (sol ré la mi), concernant les accords il y a différentes manières de faire, moi je joue deux notes en privilégiant tierce et septième. plus d'infos sur www.apprendre-le-violon-jazz.com

Hi there, i was looking for this complete score as well. i tried to contact eva through email and was unsuccessful, and i dont speak any french so i had a hard time navigating through her website (even though there is an English translation) all of this long story to say i do know of the 1937 Grappelli solo of Minor Swing being transposed in a MelBay book you can get online. In the book it is just his solo, and does no include the guitar solo, which eva plays in this recording, but anyways (i digress) im attaching it here for you! or if you want to message me, i would be happy to just scan those pages and email it to you.
