you can get the dictionary and sketch feature but updating your d2's firmware.... go on cowon's website and search for the latest available firmware update for the d2. the website should also provide you with instructions on the firmware update process.... the new DMB cowon d2 has the added tv feature. i do not think you can add this feature to your existing player but will have to purchase the new DMB d2 altogether.
I have a cowon Q5W. I must say it is so heavy!!! U cant take it anywhere. i took it to the gym 1 time, it weighed my shorts down. internet sucks on it, u can never get a connection & if u do, it disconnects after 3 or so minutes. sometimes the videos wont play, you have to rename everything otherwise everything outta order. im sure this unit is the same thing. honestly, where r u gna take this thing? keep it in your pocket. i would suggest the s9 because fo its portability and same functions.
The Touch is thinner, has bigger screen and better resolution (good for video), run applications of many kinds and PAID firmwares (I believe only Mac charges for this). Do not buy it if you are looking for a good sounding music player, even my Nokia 5310 sounds better (sarcasm). The volume controls on the D2 can act like track changers, making possible blind controlling (try with the touch while driving or in a bus), has memory expansion, and IS one of the BEST sounding players in the market.
i do not think thats right... i asked someone who had the d2 and an 8gb sdhc card. he told there is no lag and the player does not work any slower. it does take a few more seconds to boot up though!
Too bad you don't like it. It's a pretty cool player. I personally don't have any problems with it. You need to visit the iaudiophile forums. There, you can find answers to any questions you might have. I actually found D2's interface to be quite in intuitive. But then again, I also own Cowon's i6.
@l1lxdon wow, some mp3 players have scratch prone backs, that really makes a difference, right? and lack of features, have u seen the new iphone and touch? what might those be, and expensive accesories? maybe the ones apple produces, but it will take less then a second to find those same accesories less then half the price, apple is one of the only companys improving there products every year with new technology and at a stable price, and yeah they make them trendy as well, because there smart.

Oh, and enjoy the fact that the contents are so poorly made the motherboards rocks back and forth inside. Good luck getting any support for it either. Just bought this unit and it may be the worst piece of electronics I've ever purchased. Can't access the SD card and the manual that comes with it is EXTREMELY BASIC. Good equipment but user interface is NOT intuitive at all !!!!!!!

It still lies somewhere in grandma's house. I pretty sure it still works and i still can listen to Evanescence and Nightwish on it.
I"m getting the Cowon D2+ (black). Should be here on Monday.
If you need videos but don't want a HDD player, D2 is the best choice.
