Just wanted to say a few things that i will work on in the next camping video. First of all I talk too much, complain alot, and dont make stuff interesting enough. This was the most realistic camping video I've seen in a while. Unless you are pumping money into gear and going out several times a year this is likely to be closer to the reality you might experience

Tent like that would be perfect with a cot, that 5-12+ inches off the ground makes winter camping so much nicer. Crazy how much colder it is lower in the tent.

So nice to see you sticking it out. You have proven yourself, and your abilities! I always look forward to your videos since day one. I would love to see you do some trapping again, and some ice fishing. Also those heaters are dangerous, they draw way more power than a cars electrical system is made for. If you are lucky it will only blow fuses.

Merry christmas! My advice when i camp or out hunting is making a check list of things you will need to stay alive and comfortable as possible. Always 3 to 4 pairs or socks and double up wool and cotton for me. If your feet go out it means danger

Nicholas, another great video. Its good to see you out and about getting it done while the rest of us sit in our comfy homes watching. I do have a couple of suggestions for you. There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing. Dress for the weather and always bring more than you think you'll need. Wet = cold. An insulated tent is great but it requires a heat source to get it warm. A Buddy Heater would have kept you toasty. Without heat its more like a refridgerator keeping you cold. That tent has a nice vestibule. You might consider getting an aftermarket stove jack and using one of your stoves outside the insulated area. Speaking of cold, batteries dont like cold temps. Thats why your battery pack didnt last as long as you expected. With all that being said, I look forward to your next winter camping video. Perhaps you could title it "What I should have done". Keep up the great content. Wish i could be there camping with you.
I've had bad campng trips that make you say "why am i doing this?". I guess conquering the bad stuff makes it an adventure. Keep moving forward Nick, camping is awesome, and you're good at it.

Dude! Another great video. I have a few winter camping Horror stories and a fewer number of Great stories. Its the Horrible ones that make you smile year later. In my 50s life was pretty darn good and I discovered Wilderness Luxury hotels for 4 season adventures. A day slogging against the elements, fighting off wild animals, ferocious insects, Bigfoots (Bigfeets?) hurling boulders and logs at you while you're fly fishing. Escape back to a warm dry room, a hot shower then sit out around the fire on the patio and tell lies while enjoying a craft made Root Beer and a few appetizers. Life is still good. First time finding the channel. But it was a great video, camping trips don’t always work perfect, sometimes you have to regroup or make do without a tool or knife. Nice to see a real life video and for you to continue to the end. Keep up the good work brother! Merry Christmas!!

One of the hardest parts of doing carnivore for me was eating enough or eating regular. Maybe it was just how much I needed to be eating and it was fine, but it was very intermittent the first couple months. Sometimes I'd eat a huge meal one day and then the next day or 2 I'd barely eat anything. But I did drop over 40 lbs in less than 3 months so hey. And still going. Staying hydrated was the other problem. Making myself eat more salt was hard. Those LMNT drink powders are awesome though. Peace brother.

Merry Christmas Nick! That seems like a cursed spot for you to camp because wasn’t it a year and a half ago the same problem pine roots sticking out of the ground where you were sleeping. Also, some of the pines fell and were spikey on and near the tent.
Most of my goals are continuing goals but a big one is to have a bit better health this year than last year. My health is still up and down but still a major difference from 2 years ago! I can leave my house and go in public almost no problems. Also, fewer heaving fits. I am on stronger medication but I know some of it is allergies and possibly stress but I am not 100% sure.

not hating love this kid's videos but this trip is like part 2 of the winter camping he did when he was 10 y. o. It is like what ever can go wrong did go wrong for him. I'm actually proud of him for posting this, shows he know how much his fans love him. many tubers would of not put it out afraid of getting negative feedback.

Wise move on your part, Nick, knowing when it was time to bail out before things got dangerous. Surprising that these Crua insulated tents don't have a stove jack in them for use with a small wood stove. It would make them so much more effective.

Always carry a 12 volt cigarette lighter electric blanket. Very energy efficient compared to a standard power electric blanket. And I would never cook food at night outside. Animals that roam at night will smell it and can sneak up on you in the dark. It happens! There are dangerous night predators looking for food and at night you can't see them. But they can see you! Stay safe and glad you survived that cold. Peace man.

Wow that is a lot of snow for the area. Seems PA and VA (where I’m from) have cycles of heavy snows every 5 or so years. I’m still out here in Alaska and so far the snow fall has broken all previous records. I’m glad to see you gave winter camping a good go! I’d really love to winter camp myself but… we have a few moose hanging around and I wouldn’t feel too safe camping. I most certainly would though if I were on the east coast!
I remember my first time camping in the snow I froze my butt off and wanted to do again but with heat and a better sleeping bag.

A tiny piece of reflective bubble wrap insulation can be rolled up or folded in your pack and makes a great standing pad, sit pad, and fire wafter. Its cheap, light, and a good thermal break from the cold snow beneath.
