I think LWYMMD was a great lead single to show us what this era would be (mainly the video for the song) but this should have been released in place of Ready For It? or End Game both are good album songs but neither was good single wise. This shows off her IDGAF attitude with great lyrics and killer vocals/beat like when the beat drops for the chorus that ish just sucks you in.

I can’t believe I haven’t heard this song before! So I looked up the track on RUclips and she sings it differently at the AMAs then the track. For the AMAs, she drags parts out more and sounds more powerful while the track sounds more poppy and fast especially when comparing the intro. I like this AMAs version more. It gradually grows faster and powerful and the beginning sounds more mysterious than poppy and maybe in a way more soulful (don’t know if that is the right term). I wish she showcased her voice more like this. No hate here. I totally respect and love Taylor just stating my opinion and taste. Also, answering why this song hasn’t charted yet is perhaps because of how the track is different to how she sang it in the AMAs. Because I wondered that too. Yeah, hopefully this performance means she'll release it as a single. Also there's many songs that she modifies for her tours - the AMA performance for this one is basically the same as for her tour. Speak Now's live versions are on Spotify, 1989 is officially only available as a movie on DirectTV but some songs have been modified in really interesting ways so it's worth tracking down the MP3s floating around various parts of the internet. Reputation tour will have some kind of tour movie too.
It's pretty common for her to rearrange songs when she performs them live but I def agree that this version beats out the studio one. Both are incredible but the slow burn and buildup to the live one is breathtaking 🙀

I can’t believe I haven’t heard this song before! So I looked up the track on RUclips and she sings it differently at the AMAs then the track. For the AMAs, she drags parts out more and sounds more powerful while the track sounds more poppy and fast especially when comparing the intro. I like this AMAs version more. It gradually grows faster and powerful and the beginning sounds more mysterious than poppy and maybe in a way more soulful (don’t know if that is the right term). I wish she showcased her voice more like this. No hate here. I totally respect and love Taylor just stating my opinion and taste. Also, answering why this song hasn’t charted yet is perhaps because of how the track is different to how she sang it in the AMAs. Because I wondered that too. If the track was like this AMAs performance, I feel like it would have definitely charted.

Speak Now's live versions are on Spotify, 1989 is officially only available as a movie on DirectTV but some songs have been modified in really interesting ways so it's worth tracking down the MP3s floating around various parts of the internet. Reputation tour will have some kind of tour movie too.
It's pretty common for her to rearrange songs when she performs them live but I def agree that this version beats out the studio one. Both are incredible but the slow burn and buildup to the live one is breathtaking 🙀
