- We visited 成都 Chengdu, where our dad grew up and saw our family as well as visiting our ancestral home in 大邑 Dayi. We ate lots of yummy chinese food and visited beautiful places!
Places visited:
武侯祠 Chengdu Wu Hou Shrine
人民公园 Qingyang People's Park - teahouse
四川大学 Sichuan University - our cousin's university
九眼桥酒吧街 Jiuyanqiao Bridge Bar Street
大邑县 Dayi - visiting family (hour from chengdu)
~~元通古镇 Yuan tong gu zhen
~~黄家大院 Huang family courtyard (our ancestral home where our grandma grew up)
都江堰 Dujiang yan - world heritage site, ancient irrigation system
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding
太古地產 Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li
~~Gentle monster store

ChengDu will be home for the next 4 years, come this August. It looks cold in December.

In which university?
This inadvertently make me sad. My wife is from Chengdu and when I retired in Dec 2019 we were planning on going to visit for a couple of months but covid blew up and wrecked those plans. We are now thinking about visiting later this year.

I was very lucky and went on two university exchanges last year so had lots of opportunities to travel ☺️
