I love that you don’t talk constantly in your videos. It means I can listen to my own music and craft along. You’ve recently become my favourite RUclipsr for that very reason and I am steadily watching my way through your videos, especially the Decorating Junk Journal Pages ones. Amanda xx
Hello from Pennsylvania in the USA! I really enjoy your videos. You're so talented. I love hearing you speak even when it's repetitive. Your voice is soothing and calming. I can look away for a bit and still know what you're doing. Sometimes music makes me anxious and I have to watch evetything for fear I'll miss something good. 😂😂😂 But do what is best for you. I know it takes time and energy to do. Appreciate you so very much. I hope one day to get beyond collecting supplies and have enough of a stash to actually make something! Ha! Ha!
Thank you so much for showing your entire creative process! This really helps me get ideas. I sometimes get down on myself when I see completely finished books and it makes me think they picked the perfect embellishments right away!
I ❤️ your style! I love hearing you talk through your process even if it feels repetitive to you. I find it inspirational and it feels like I’m crafting with you 🥰
I love your videos so much! They're so inspiring and also relaxing ❤️ I do prefer you talking through everything, or I would love to hear all the paper noises because im trying to fall asleep to your videos and it can be jarring when it cuts in and out after youve been quiet for minutes at a time
I love watching your work, and your voice is so soothing, I much prefer to hear you talk than the music. I get so much inspiration from you! And Thank you for sharing 😊🥰
I love the way u explained your procedures, then used the music & speeded up. This allows for my brain to stay creative. I find I'm fast forwarding thru the other videos which explain every time they glue or pick up a sissors, etc. Thank you so very much for all the work/talent u put into your videos!
❤I love your style or format of your videos. Fast with minimal explanations. Far more interesting. Your ideas are beautiful and the style that appeals to me more than others
Such a happy and cheerful journal.. I don't mind music during sped-up parts of a video, but you have such a wonderfully engaging and soothing voice that even repeated steps wouldn't get monotonous! ❤️
I really enjoyed watching this journal come together. Beautiful papers, colors, and ephemera. For me it was just the right amount of talking and music- great work!
Hi, I've just started watching this video which was in my suggestions. This is great and just what I needed. I get a block when it comes to decorating pages, which I find so frustrating as art and being creative is probably my strongest talent. I'm really enjoying this, its completely different to any other video I've found. Thank you x
Absolutely inspiring. I felt so sorry for the pretty pink flower. You tried it in several places, but it just never got chosen to be in this glorious journal. I think one of my favorite pages (and there were many favorite pages), was the Christmas tree you built out of varying sizes of paper topped with a wooden star. You had used the method of stacking paper strips several other times, but this one actually became a focal image representing the season. Such a nice way to repeat ideas, yet still allow each one to shine on its own. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas and talents.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment (and all your lovely comments on many of my videos). I am so happy you enjoyed the video and thank you for taking the time to write a comment, it is so very much appreciated ❣️
I love your videos, I’m just starting my junk journal journey and you inspire me. I love hearing you talk, even if there is long periods of silence. To me the music is distracting.
I prefer the quiet and the comments to explain things. Often, even though you are mentioning a similar page technique or layout you may mention something extra, or something about your thought process. I really like that and it really helps. I will 9/10 times be inspired or get an idea spark from a video where the person talks, even if only little bits, compared to videos with just music background. I don't connect with them in the same way.
So much inspiration! I enjoy watching the process so I can see how you build the layers. I like the combination of speaking and then music while we just watch your process. ❤️
When you use your stencils you use a spatula to spread a white substance. What is what white substance? I love hearing you talk and I enjoyed the music.
Thank you for sharing your talent, I am so inspired. I want to know please what do thread do you use for binding/stitching the journal and what type of needle?
Thank you, so happy to have inspired you. I used embroidery thread, the one used for tapestries and I use a regular needle, just a one with an eye large enough to pass the thread easily. Hope that helps 😀
So many questions lol Do you sharpen your scissors or just get a new pair ? How do you decide whether to use glue or 2 sided glue tape? I know glue gun is for heavier objects. What do you do with scraps from kits when you want the journal to be cohesive in its theme with similar papers? Scraps being different colours and themes from one another, how do you use them up?? Modge podge vs texture paste. What’s the difference when stencilling? I’m being greedy with so many questions sorry 🤷♀️😁
Hi Leanne, I don't mind questions :-) I just buy new scissors, I don't buy expensive ones, so cheap to replace. I usually use double sided tape for thinner papers, and glue for heavier cardstock, so the thinner paper doesn't wrinkle or warp, you could use double sided tape for most things though. I try to use a bit of the kit, even if it is just scrap bits through out the journal, like every third or fourth page, and use similar colours through out, that is how I try to make the journal cohesive. I find a good way to use the scraps to make snippet strips, I am going to make a video very soon showing how I make those. You could even just add a tab on a page with a scrap piece. I don't use mod podge for stenciling, that is more of an adhesive (or I use it as such), texture paste is best for stenciling, also gesso, but gesso is thinner and does tend to seep under the stencil so you don't always get a crisp stencil image. Hope that answers everything, happy crafting :-)
Love watching your process filling journal. I do have a question … why are you using hot glue on some pockets but double sided tape on others. I can’t tell if papers are differing gsm weights or cards put in pockets are heavier in hot glued pockets … ?? Or you just fancied doing them that way. Appreciate your time and extensive attention detail in this vid. Lovely work and most enjoyable relaxing, yet instructive VR I’ve watched in a long long time. 🙃🦘👍🏼❤️
Love the music, how large was this journal. I having a hard time covering up things to add dimension to my project. Do you have any helpful hints I’m a beginner. I’ve only done one small journal. But I have the feeling it’s not really finished.
It’s roughly A5 in size. Perhaps practice covering up in a scrap book or on asvrsp paper. I know you probably feel you may ruin something in the actual journal or you may not like what you do, so practicing outside the journal will help you get confidence in your work 🩷 aaaand you don’t have to cover up anything if you don’t want to 🥰
Hi Shana. Loving this video. Can u link us to the video where u created this journal? I have a lot of patterned paper i want to use up and i c many of ur pages in this journal are created with patterned paper. I’d love to c your process. BTW, love that u r from Australia…I am too (i live in a town just outside Canberra)😊
Hi there. I just recently found you, and I love your channel so much. I was just wondering what you actually do with these journals when they are finished. Do you actually use them, or are they just to look at. I often wonder what everyone does with them x
For me, I sell mine, but I do have a few and I use one as an art journal, the other one is an ideas journal and then I Amazon using one as a travel journal. They can be for anything or even just kept as a pretty 🩷
Wish I could hit 'like' for every time I've watched this video. Your process has me mesmerised and the album so beautiful. Love to see how you tie the whole journal together so it flows seemlessly. Could listen to your voice all day but I understand how repetitious (and tedious) that would be, so you are definitely excused ! I did have to turn that music down after a while bc it became irritating. Perhaps if several tunes were played in turn, it would be different, just a thought. Love from UK xx
Your a whiz, how many years will it take me to be this good? I really like the Christmas Journal a lot. Could you do a video to show the book in its entirety. Love how you work. Warm wishes from Canada
Hi, my name is Raquel, this music is nice, but take care not put music to invasive , your comment time to time is good to hear. Tank you to share all your ideas, I love you are from Australia and your comments where we can get some materials. Than you again. xx
Thank you for your feedback and I use a combination of scrapbook paper and a digital kit called 'Feliz Navidad' by Luise Heinzl, I have a link to her etsy shop in the description of this video. Thanks so much Shana
Hi Nancy, I use a combination of scrapbook paper and a digital kit called 'Feliz Navidad' by Luise Heinzl, I have a link to her etsy shop in the description of this video. Thanks Shana
Hi, it can be used for many things: scrapbook, photo album, journal, dream journal, notebook etc. or you can just keep it on your coffee table as something nice to look at. It’s also about the process of making one, it’s really enjoyable and a great creative outlet.
Very interesting to watch, and listen to. Sorry, but that music wasn’t at all restful, or easy to listen to. It refused to stay in the background. I found the staccato beats noticeably irritating. Otherwise please keep up your inspiring work, and encouragement! Thanks for sharing your time and talents.
Music is fine with me BUT ... they are some awful musical selections they allow youtubers to use ... You gave me some very good ideas, I like your album AND the digital kit, but I wish the digitals could be resized in Photoshop so I could use them in different album sizes. PDF aren't ideal for everyone

I like when you speak throughout the video. Otherwise I get so mesmerized that I start to nod off, even though I really want to watch it!!
I love when you talk throughout as well. It feels more interactive.😊

I'm so glad to see that I am not the only person who saves and re-uses the 'dots' from their hole punch!!! 😄❤👍
Always! Use everything lol. 😀
