As a wheelchair user, completely have to echo something Briody said - the accessibility of the new layout looks fantastic. I’ve avoided Download the last few years because it was damn near inaccessible in bad weather. Will definitely be heading back next year

Story time: I met these boys at leeds 2017, 2018 and 2019. I had really decent conversations with the TPD boys and they were really generous with their time despite being overwhelmed by crowds of people who were all excited to meet them. I’ll never forget the interactions I had with each of the boys. But specifically I want to say how nice it was to talk to Danny. *Continued in replies…*
I remember meeting Danny and he was such a welcoming person who seemed genuinely happy to meet everyone. At one point, danny asked if anyone had a lighter. I pulled out a mini clipper lighter and he was like “oh my god a mini clipper”. I said he could keep it and then each time I saw him over the weekend I gave him another mini clipper. This doesn’t sound like a great story. But it was hilarious when Danny saw in the crowd at Don Broco and he said “mini clipper”. And I just pulled out another one and gave it to him. The look on his face was priceless 😂 Just love the boys in general. Never had a bad moment with them. Class lads. Peace and love
My first ever Download fest. Didn't think I was that much into hard rock and metal before, but it really opened my eyes. I still have a bad neck from nodding my head all weekend. lol Steel Panther were 100% must for us, and we're very glad we saw them on the Sunday. Not only were they hilarious, but great musicians too. Didn't see any TPD guys there, but I think I slipped on Rob's vom once.

I've ALWAYS wanted to go to Download. As a Reading lad, it's been sad to see my local fest become so mainstream, so I've been eager to go to Download for a while now. But I don't have a good group of mates who like the same heavy music as me! You guys are so fortunate to share something so special like this. Don't ever let it go!
First time I went I made friends with the people camping next to us, then it happened again the year after, now I go every year with a huge group! There is also a section of the camping area for people on their own so you are with people in the same situation.

Just wanna say about the sponsor, as someone who is quite regularly hungover and finds the art of having to chew anything completely nauseating, that's a great product.
I go to this festival here in the Netherlands every year. You get more efficient with packing each year. You can always pick out the first timers. They have full carts, atleast three plastic bags hanging off them. But the thing with this festival is, you need to cross a road, so they set up this pretty high bridge. Getting a stuffed cart across is hell, but very entertaining to watch. Key is indeed one bag. If it doesn't fit, you don't need it.
That doghouse looks so good, you can feel the vibe just thru this video! It was one of my fav parts about DL when I went a few years back, I was only *thinking* about going next year but having watched this, it’s 100% happening
I can understand that not everyone likes Iron Maiden the way I do but how do you enjoy watching Kiss and then completely disregard Maiden complaining how boring they are. Glad you enjoyed them but there was a lot of people leaving during Biffy, didn't see that with other bands that got the whole "they don't deserve to headline Download" like Avenged Sevenfold and Muse did when they got their chance.
On the very valid point about headliners, yes we need more coming through, but you know what the problem is, streaming and for those old enough to remember file sharing (yes kiddies, Metallica were right). Everyone is going to have their favs, that is not the problem, its that not enough bands have made it through into the premier league to be 'big' enough to headline a festival like Download. Why is that? part of the issue is that established acts like Maiden, AC/DC, Kiss are so huge its difficult to join that club, but do you know what all these bands have in common? massive record and albums sales to fuel their tours and grow their brand when it really made a difference. Even bands that been around for 20 years or so did not get the mega injection of massive album sales that bands like AC/DC got. The solution is not an easy one, but bottom line is if you can afford it, buy the album! buy the Ts, it will help. Stream it for sure, but buy it as well. Examples of bands that are good enough to headline, but are not 'big' enough, but might have been. Thunder, The Darkness, Airbourne. Anyway rant over, dream headliners that will never happen, but they could rip it a new one, Wildhearts, Reef.

Download is the only festival I do on the regular and these videos are a great way to come down off the high of the festival weekend. Also this year topped it, as not only did I get to see Biffy live for the first time, but as I was watching them I managed to get a chat and photo with Briody, Danny and Mary. All so welcoming and just nice people.

Saw you lads as we were walking from Purple to the village (was buzzing but didn't want to be one of those guys) - my first festival but power-watched your download stuff to get ready for it. Amazing festival (can't wait for next year!) - walked 40 miles in 5 days though :O no one tells you about the distances! (p.s. agree maiden were quite boring... SKINDRED were absolutely incredible)

I had to leave on saturday as my missus ended up in hospital so big thanks for this video letting me feel like I actually finished off the festival !
