Yes it is restricted because it classified as a commercial vehicle. You will get this only with yellow commercial reg. You can remap the engine with local engine shop and actually increase the speed and performance. The price of this vehicle is at this range because this is not categorized as a luxury vehicle. So it falls in a lower tax bracket. There is another model called Highlander which have even lesser interior features that onroads for around 21 lac. That doesnt have these limitations but because of our stupid tax structure you end up payijng nearly 5 lacs more!
