I didn't have a pattern. So I made myself one. I followed your directions more or less and it came out good. Considering I have never done a zipper this way. I would say so so beginner friendly.
I've been trying to figure out how to modify the Linds travel organizer to have a zipper go around it for months, and I think this made it make sense!❤❤❤
Great instructions and looks like a fun project to do. One thing to keep aware of...put the finished lining in how you want the pockets to open when the wallet is opened. Like putting a binding on a book, too easy to put it on upside down! If you put the lining in backwards, then every time you open it the stuff falls out. :( Only suggestion I have. Thank you, this is great.
Love the pattern, I will be making this one on the weekend. Can I please ask where you got your shirt from please I want one. Hopefully that is not a strange ask, I just love it heart❤❤
Thanks for all the tutorials. I was looking through your library....have you ever made a bag/wallet from a company called Maggy Fifty Five? I'm wondering how good they are to sew up.
Club subscriber here... I'll enjoy making this I'm sure. You have the best tutorials!! Do you think the zipper might need some glue at the corners where it is clipped??
Конечно можно и с винила. Просто он прозрачный. Просто два конца молнии надо сшить вместе, как это делают в органайзерах на молнии.По середине кошелька соедините.
Hi Jess. Do you think you could sew the foam to the front at 1/4" basting stitch and mark a 1/8" mark beyond that 1/4" basting stitch with the silver marking pen? Then when you get to the point of folding it over at the end, you could fold on the marking pen marking and top stitch all around, wiping off the pen marking at the end to avoid seeing the original 1/4" basting stitch.
How about using the interfacing piece for the foam as well? Glue it down or use basting spray, and then fold the main fabric around the edges. I'm thinking by doing that, you won't have the basting stitches visible on the finished project😊
Can you tell me what double sided tape you are using. I don’t think it is the Dritz that you have pinned because the roll is so wide. I tried Dritz and it never works. It is like the tape adheres to the cover while in an Amazon warehouse, and I am looking for some tape that will actually work 😊
Well, I made both sizes today. Decovil heavy was better than decovil light, but both worked. For the Brother/BabyLock crew - it’s not you, it’s your zipper foot!! Ugh. It’s too wide at the back to get around those corners nicely. I ordered a narrow zipper foot today, finally, hoping this will decrease the struggle. ❤
I got mine at Sallie Tomato, order the narrow snap on unless you have the Accomplish, she carries one with teflon and one without. I use it on my Babylock Verve @@audreymulloy7189
@Jess - I keep having wavy zipper issues when the zipper is on the edge like this. I've done a few laptop bags and wallets and they normally end up with waves on the top flat part (the sides and corners are normally ok). Any suggestions on how to combat this?
I went on your shop today to get the Amelia wallet templates and it wouldn’t sit still it kept bringing everything else up and this is second time I’ve tried to order something on your shop and I was not able to I’m not happy with this site
What a great pattern to try out the zip around technique! Thanks so showing us exactly how to do it. I really appreciate your teaching style.

Duckbill scissors work great to cut out the foam.
I was just recently wondering what those scissors are for! Thank you!
I purchased mine at Sallie Tomato-they have a few options on size, I bought the Sookie Sews one.
Fantastic instructions on the zipper install its so clear to me now... thank you... have a Happy Thanksgiving...
I LOVE the way you explain these steps.

🍃♥️🍃 You explain things so well! Thank you so much for this. 🍃♥️🍃
Great for keeping my cross stitch items in one place!
Great video, Jess!
Great tutorial!! Thank you 😊
Another awesome tutorial. You are such a great teacher.
Do you know if a passport would fit in the pocket?

I love people like you that give these tips because I am the one that would find out the hard way!
This looks like one to ease into wallet making.

Thank you once again for another great video . May I ask what is the first foot you use please 😊
I believe it's the Patchwork Foot #97D
Are you afraid the zipper will fray? Great tutorial....I see many possibilities!
Cute pattern! Maybe a rivet on the fringe?
Could you do this with clear vinyl?? I need to make something to keep epipens in and want it see through!

This is a great question.
Would you do a tutorial on the coffin wallet?

What kind of sewing machine do you use?

I ordered an adjustment zipper foot and hate it also! Where did you order your zipper foot?

I also have a Babylock (Crescendo) and the zipper foot is just too wide. What did you order?
Can you please do a tutorial on the bionic gear bag??
Thanks for the tutorial. I found the zipper method overly complicated. I guess I’m not a zip around gal!

I use a narrow double sided tape, it seems to help me
Is this the same as the ST BELLA patter?
I think this would be a great phone case, and then something like a pocket pal could slip in the other pocket turning it into an essentials wallet
Can a cell phone fit in there?
❤❤
Hey Jess, how can I communicate with you.
