    I think there's a key difference when you talk "flatness" of the saddle; there's flat nose to tail, then there's flat side to side. Example: the second saddle seems to drop off far more dramatically on the wings (side-to-side) than the other two. Overall though, great video & appreciate the reviews/comments = thanks!

    Thanks for continuing these amazing consumer-friendly reviews! Is the 3rd saddle just hard plastic on top with no padding?

    • @mikenaus
      @mikenaus  3 года назад +3

      Hi, thanks! Hoping a review here and there will give someone an idea of what to expect with purchases from Aliexpress and elsewhere. All saddles I've ordered have padding. The S100 (black/white) was the hardest for sure, followed by the TT and then the Power. Mostly a toss up between those two.

      @@mikenaus I appreciate the quick reply! I've gone ahead and ordered the TT & Power models from Aliexpress and Amazon for roughly $20 & $30 respectively 🤞🏽 Keep it up

    Thanks for the review, very helpful! I'm looking at those two, another EC90 similar to the "power saddle" but slightly different, and one other that looks just like the Prologo Dimension 143. Maybe you can check that one out some time (if you look up that Prologo saddle, then look at the EC90s, you can't miss it!).
    My partner and I are both saddle shopping, her road bike and my all-mtn/xc hardtail. For the "new" price of some of our saddles we could really just buy *all* the EC90s, but we didn't buy our name brand saddles new - we're not made of money 🤑! I also told her maybe I could "fit" the saddles with a heat gun if they're terrible - the chassis is nylon after all so... warm, sit, form, cool = custom?! Maybe add some 1-1.5mm high density urethane foam I use for impact/cushion prototyping under the cover layer and re-glue it all for harder MTB use. Not sure if these are more _pro_ or _d’oh_ 🤦‍♀️ ideas, but frustration is the mother of invention so this is what I routinely do with chinaware that's just a little off! 👩‍🔧

    I ordered all 3 saddles--waiting on the 'Sitero' to arrive. I really like the Power knockoff. It's my goto saddle right now
    The "pro-s100" is unusable for me as well; foam is very stiff and the hole doesn't extend far enough down the nose.
    Can't wait to try the Sitero (38 day shipping ETA from Aliexpress)

      Hey! The only product I still have around is the "sitero" saddle which is still on my trainer bike; my two main bikes now have Specialized Power saddles. Still no issues several years later at least! Sold the rest with other bikes.

    The third saddle only weakness is water.. they absorb the water through the hole in the leather.. i used this saddle as my personal choice for comfort (nothing beats em) but when it is rain and water goes in, it is just become a sponge..
    I'mma try the first one you review this time actually, but is that saddle also have holes or it is just printed dots ??

    Hey Mike, is the TT "sitero" overall quality good? Not just the build quality, but the build materials as well? Granted it's a $20 dollar saddle, I just don't want it to look like a cheap saddle sitting on top of a $5,000 dollar road bike! (Yeah, I know that sounds bad 😂) Also, when comparing the "sitero" to the "power" saddle, is the sitero hands down more comfortable? Thanks in advance.

    • @mikenaus
      @mikenaus  3 года назад

      Thanks for the questions! Admittedly you are correct; it is a $20 saddle and shouldn't be considered a high end saddle replacement. Having said that, I would prefer riding something that's comfortable for 4 hour rides! Compared to the Power... debatable! I have the Power (real, and an EC90) on two bikes, the EC90 TT on third, which nowadays is also my zwifting bike. For me I would say it's a bit more comfortable and the reason being I tend to move a bit on my bike, so the comfort zone is just slightly larger. I think if I slid my Power saddle further forward I could find a sweetspot more often. Again, I don't have any real drawbacks on the Power I've just found something I find even more comfortable.

    Hi Mike, I just received my EC90 carbon seatpost with the offset and that stupid front bolt that screws in downward. I guess I should have thought about this before I purchased it but after reading/watching reviews I am now a bit concerned that it might break. I'm mostly city riding and gravel trails and I'm a big guy 6'1" 105KG. I don't want to be impaled. Did you ever feel like it was going to crack or break on you? Thx

    Is "EC90" a brand coming from one manufacturer or are there multiple knock off manufacturers using Easton's EC90 product line name and markings? I'd be concerned about knock off handlebars or seatposts if the manufacturing process leaves voids or weak areas in the carbon lamination.

    • @mikenaus
      @mikenaus  3 года назад

      I belive it's a brand that's available from a few different sellers.

    • @rmeav8er000
      @rmeav8er000 3 года назад

      @@mikenaus I appreciate the reply. I just get worried when carbon components are using other company product line names or branding.
      I am all for finding the best combination of price, quality, and performance. However, it seems questionable when manufacturers slap Pinarello, Easton, Reynolds, etc branding on their products. It seems like they're trying to ride on the reputation/safety record of an established brand without doing their own reputation building (at best) or trying to obscure substandard manufacturing practices/materials/QC (at worst).
