For comment 100, I'd like to say how fascinating I found that earthworm counting experiment very informative. Ok, you expect me to enjoy it as a nature geek, but it seemingly follows what the research states, i.e. with the regenerative agricultural movement, if you want to call it that. Keep the soils covered all year round where possible, limit disturbance to a minimum and soil biology should improve. In my game, farmland bird studies, as the range of species seen within your fields, i.e. feeding on them, increases, you can imagine your soil health is also improving.
