Ask just about any soldier if they would prefer to force march 20km with 50 kg on their back, or ride in a pickup truck to get there. The vehicle is designed for that, to get light infantry and their gear to places fast, not to fight from.
@@brokenwrench404 its always the people sitting on their backside instead doing actual fighting talking the most nonsense. That day will never change, you ridiculous clueless nonsense.
What was wrong with keeping the original Humv? It was in service and light weight before up armored? It was a replacement for the jeep.
Drones are going to eat these.
Winter and snow conditions?
Basically a large golf cart.
I hope they are 4 wheel drive!! The one they just showed in this video wasn't doing very well in 2 wheel drive mode, and he was on level ground!!!
I did notice but they MUST be 4+4
If the vehicle flips someone is gonna be Oh so screwed.
How so? It has a full roll cage and seat belts.
Rare to see 99% commenters criticising a US military vehicle. I hope it is not expensive, otherwise a reasonable US civilian truck without panels probably can do the job.
It literally is.
ISV is essentially the diesel Colorado
It looks like it's well protected from IEDs .
field taxi! good for air transport only or modified some armour later.
Looks a great vehicle don't mess with the USA military.
The guy in the back carries the 12 gauge for drone protection.
I vote Ripsaws with light armor instead, a centerline ball turret gunner first row back with Quad mount 20mm/shotgun drone killer, and seating for 6 with shooting ports on removable side panels. 2 Fit a squad, plus ride alongs, mission configured, some protection, better terrain navigation, faster and the ball turret can "mow grass" when SHTF!!! 🎉😂🎉❤
Big drones fly so high you dont even see them and carry a big payload
You'll either freeze your butts off in cold, get wet beyond belief in rain or become a giant dust ball on any back roads. No protection, all aluminum, only side shooters, no air guards. What exactly is this thing but a cheap transport sold at four times the cost. Infantry squads are 9 to 11 guys, no squad is ever fully manned. 9 seats each but with interpreter you need 10 seats you'll have to leave guys back or take two trucks per squad. Thats two air guards, two drivers, two TC's and one interpreter. No one ever trains with an interpreter but you'll have one per squad any time you leave the wire in real war zones. In any combat zone you will have air guards that's a must for vehicles anywhere. Trail vehicles eat shit tons of dust. These things will need doors and tops with Ac or heat. No one will want to ride in them in winter. Looking at you 10th MTN. Chosin!
AMS need this
I imagine it’s easier on the paperwork and organisation if you lose troops in convenient squad groups. Seems no other function for this vehicle.
Why did they not fit a full windscreen with wiper blades and screen wash?
Потому что "солдат должен стойко переносит трудности связанные со службой"
Just need the gun turret and you have a halo warthog
They already had that with the humvee
Have we forgotten about IED’s?
Kinda seems like a step backwards considering the lack of armor. I expected to see them driving it at higher speeds like an offroad trophy truck. Speed would probably be this vehicles best defense. Hope it has some level of mine and ied protection underneath. Seems like it would be something special forces would use, but driving much faster.
It may get used in a non-combat environment but never in war zone.
Troops trend to use what is available.
@richarda996 in war zone they use whatever is bullet proof. I've been there a few times.
I believe they should stay in the realms of the LAVs or build off the body instead of vehicles that will sit in the motorpool for months on end.
直接把民用越野車車體為基礎發展出軍用野戰車!
Can you mount a “ Ma Deuce” on it?
これランセットとか徘徊してる戦場じゃ、そのままで使えないだろうね。
結局網とか籠付けないと危険で走行出来ないと思うわ。
