    I agree with John Sally. Staying loyal with one team for you entire career is what makes you great is conjured by the owners, so you can waive all your other options for their benefit. Just like not talking about your salary with your coworkers is something made up by the bosses, so they can keep you in the dark 🤓🧐🤔

      @@TheSands83 I respectfully disagree with you on this. I don't think Shaq's greatness dimmed by him playing for 3 different teams. I get it from a fan point,but from a player go where u can win a chip or get the most money. To me Allen Iverson wasted to many years being loyal to the Sixers,then he goes to another team when he's pretty much done with the league. People hate on Lebron but he gave power to the players so they look at it as ur own boss and do what's best for u.

    • @giovannifitzpatrick1987
      @giovannifitzpatrick1987 2 года назад +4

      They were worried that Eddy Curry might have had a genetic heart defect, a defect that could've killed him (similar to Pete Maravich), so they offered him a contract that would've paid him $400k a year over 50 years if, come to find out, he had that defect. However, if he had the defect, it would've essentially spelled the end of his career because no team would sign him (risk was too high).
      By not signing, he ended up making more money, and helped nip in the bud a potential precedent that could've been set which would've had all incoming players take DNA tests as a precaution against potential genetic ailments that could limit their long-term ability to play. Of course, they still do intense physicals to forewarn against ailments, but outright DNA tests, as far as I know, haven't been a part of that, and I'm almost certain that the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) would have to explicitly allow for DNA tests to be part of a contractural stipulation.
