As others will probably tell you, the Grammy performance of uninvited is pretty amazing and good one to do. One thing about Alanis is that, she's one of those you hear the album and think, amazing vocals but she's going to be pulling a lot of that back live. Then you have to go back and delete all those comments, because she doesn't at all. And she can blow your hair back when she really is blasting away.
I've always liked her voice. She has really good belts. Been a while since I listened to this song. It was a good choice. Great video and, as always, great reaction.😊
She kind of shocked the music industry when this was the first single from her follow up album to the hugely successful Jagged Little Pill. It is a deep song, very vulnerable. Aaliyah I am glad you waited to analyze this song at your current age, rather than a few years ago. With age comes wisdom. And your expressions here are showing a mature understanding of this timeless song.....
Great reaction. You might enjoy the Warning's live cover of Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know" for Sirius XM. It wasn't officially released by Sirius so the best version is on Don-Music's channel. They made it their own while honoring Alanis.
I really recommend you watching her preform live, she has one of the most active and fascinating jaw movements of any singer i've seen. Uninvited live at the Grammys would be a good choice for a showcase
I remember hearing this in school, but never gave it much thought. then I ran into it again just a few months ago and I found I could REALLY relate to it. especially... thank you disillusionment! apparently, I had to figure out how to let go of a lot of the ways I CHOSE to see the world.
*I am surprised you have never heard Alanis music. You need to go to her first 5 Grammy album songs. She went to India because she never knew how to handle the fame & came back better with another album that has Thank-You in it. It was a great naked video of its time and drew more fame to her.*
@@my.business And probably those 60s and 70s artists were mostly unknown to her as well. Anything beyond a certain distance back and lots of young folks just won't be aware of them. That's always been the case.
There's something about Canadians that I love, and she seems extra Canadian 😅. It's their offbeat nature I think. Amazing singer and songwriter too. Her songs mean a lot to a lot of people.
Great song and the only thing I like by Alanis Morissette. It's too bad you need to put up a disclaimer just to tell the arseholes to shove their mean-spirited comments. Just be yourself and discover some cool new songs, most people will appreciate that.
You should check out this live performance its "Alanis Morissette - You Oughta Know (Live at David Letterman, 8/17/1995)" wow.
You should really check out her live version of Univited at the at the grammys. She sounds even better live

You want Alanis belts, Aaliyah?
Try her YouOutaKnow or RightThruYou to really hear her tear down the walls.
One of the most bitter breakup songs ever with F-bombs.
I saw Alanis perform in 2021 and she was really amazing, one of my favorite concerts I've been to.

Sounds every bit as good live, and maybe even better. Able to quickly go from highs to lows, and vice versa, great vocal dexterity.
I really recommend you watching her preform live, she has one of the most active and fascinating jaw movements of any singer i've seen.

Alanis and Anthony Kiedis. Separated at birth ?
She put on an impressive show when I saw her in 2021, she really belted her lungs out.
She is awesome! need to do more of her songs !!
Great vid to react to, Alan's has such a unique voice and has written some great songs.

The mid-90s are now thirty years ago (hard to believe but true.) Plenty of people her age in the 90s weren't aware of a lot of artists from the 60s.
@@deanroddey2881 She is a singer. She is reacting to videos going back to the 60s & 70s and even plus rock genre a lot. So 90s is nearer for her.

@@deanroddey2881 Of course they won;t...she is so young. That's why she is discovering them as she reacts.
Awesome song thank you for your videos
Yes! More Alanis and Dolores O'Riordan -the Cranberries.
Check out Alanis Live "Uninvited" at the Grammy awards. Brilliant performance.
Just wait Aaliyah when you find out that she is literally God in the movie Dogma!

This is nothing. She has the best vocal range. Live uninvited
Gen Z not the sharpest tools in the shed.
what makes you say that?
Huh??
