    So after the basic color you brushed a few panels with Tamiya clear blue and then over there engine black, is that right?
    Many Thanks

    This looks fantastic. Could you do a size/scale comparison between the 1/48 Jeff Lu and the 1/48 X-wing and the 1/72s? What does the 1/48 razer crest look like against the 1/24 studio scale X-wing?

    • @johnsimmonsscalemodelling5270
      @johnsimmonsscalemodelling5270  2 года назад +1

      Thanks, I don’t have any 1/72 X Wings left but when the Jeff Lu RC is done I’ll do a side by side. It’s about half the length of a studio scale X Wing….

    I'm glad you posted this mate, I'm hiding seams with strip styrene and careful scribing, it's a bit of a pain, but imagine how much this would cost if Bandai did it, happy modelling

    The Razor Crest was actually built as a physical model for the filming of the show. Yes, there is the CGI model but for close filming they wanted the look of an actual model.
    They did the same with the Imperial Cruiser as well.

      Interesting, they still most likely would have been printed then as they appear at different scales around the model.

    Great to find your channel. I'm a huge Star Wars fan . Been brought up since 1981 I had the PROPER shall we say figures, and proper films ..lol. I still haven't seen this " Mandalorian" . I just can't get the excitement to pay and watch it. I feel a Star Wars fraud for saying that but the first films ...sorry , the middle , last, first , future whatever they are positioned , LOL a New Hope , Empire Strikes back and Return of the Jedi are the best and the others aren't as good. I will say that the new ones are OK, worth a watch, some better than others etc I was a little sceptical about the Disney Francise coming in but I'm a miserable Tart! Ha One that thinks Nothing can beat the Originals in most things I suppose. Apart from Alien Films... Aliens ( No2) was fantastic and nothing gas come close. Anyway I suppose I'd better say .., " Now cue the die hards that I'm about to get torn apart by .... just my opinion but I'm daily , no hourly , infact minute by minute I'm wrong .... Opinions are like " bum holes ... everyone has one !!"
    I'm well chuffed to have come across your channel, again . Your Talent for our wonderful hobby is simply second to none. I love videos like this, " Old Skool" no sort of special cuts and make over type things. Sorry I hope you know what I mean, not trying to say your videos are all old etc . I do love your vids and what you do on your bench has talent that us modellers , well me can only dream about .
    Hope you've had a nice Christmas and good new year. Stay Virus free and most of all stay safe. Your family to. Regards Steve (Mottys Military Models).
    P.S... Thank you very very much for finding time out of your busy day to not only produce and make such brill work etc but also doing your videos and taking time to share. This day in age " Appreciation " is not seen or heard of so much but I for one respect and appreciate doing what YOU do for us. Stay Safe matey and Happy New Year ... May the Force be with you.

    Thats the thing, those digital kit parts are not to a common scale, so you can't build a true 'studio scale' kit and use existing kit parts.
