- today im doing a collection tour / bookshelf tour showing all of my penguin classics! this is only my black spine classics, if youre interested in my modern classics let me know and i could do a video in the future. a lot of these were bought second-hand. i hope you enjoy!

Question:
Are the penguin classic with the orange penguin the same with the white and black one? Or one is UK and the other USA?

Now I kind of want to do one with my penguin clothbounds and paperback classics editions even though I don't have as many as you. Loved seeing all of your classics and how dedicated you are to collecting them! And some of your opinions on the books as well. Yess so glad crime and punishment also got five stars from you it's honestly just that good :D One day I am going to read the odyssery as well. I even have it waiting for me. Oh no I have one flew overs the cuckoos nest! I have seen the film and I did like it. Frankenstein
id love to see your collection! hopefully you like one flew over the cuckoos nest more, it just didnt do anything for me but it is very popular. thats interesting you read gullivers travels in primary school, i didnt realise it was suitable for younger readers (as in the writing obviously, i dont expect drugs and sex haha)
Your feelings on Villette made me feel validated 😂 I just can’t finish it. What a great collection. I’m with you on the new editions completely.
i think i want to reread it eventually now that i know what to expect, but compared to jane eyre it was so disappointing. not as bad as shirley though, that book is just not good honestly. and yess i really despise the new editions, i feel like removing the orange text just makes them so boring and the white line is far far too thick

pretty sure you're the booktube classics king. your shelf looks SOO good. I think it's so nice that you can have a shelf in alphabetical order because they are all the same edition and look well together that way.

I hate falling in love with a line of classics and then them not have a classic I want!!
i knoww, penguin classics is pretty safe for that since they do have most things. id love for them to republish some of the lgbt classics ive talked about in my video series because a lot of the editions of them ive had to buy are old, expensive and rare-ish

Wow, I want something like this... Really love penguin books but some of the editions are hard to get in Germany 😢.. Wuthering heights is a favorite ❤
english books in other countries can definitely be pricey too. i love wuthering heights!!
I am SO impressed by these beauties, and even more impressed by the fact that all of your editions match and you've got all the same time period of penguin classics!! The only consistency I have is the wordsworth classic editions (don't judge me) and the rest of my classics are just a damn mess hahaha
i used to really like wordsworth classics but i decided to unhaul them and just streamline everything to being the one edition. i had soo many random editions from different publishers at first too

Not gonna lie can't stand penguin paperback classics!! They are so flimsy and fall apart far too easily. But they do look good on a shelf altogether 😂😂 and your summary of The Picture of Dorian Gray was the best most accurate description that exists 😂😂
honestly im all about aesthetics above everything else, they do get messed up easily but i kinda like the worn down look. and hahaha i didnt go into this video planning to summarise books so i was just pulling thoughts from my brain

@@ConnorStompanato Don’t worry if you want to wait before making it. Generally they are not easy books and repay reading several times. The plots are complicated and many-layered, especially those of Dostoyevsky.
I hate Jekyll and Hyde so much.. One of the only classics I've ever read... Maybe it's more just cause I had to study it in high school.
Kidnapped is one that I really like actually and might try and re-read if I can remember where my copy is 🙈🙈

it might have been! school kinda sucks the fun out of most things tbh. i had dracula in the old 80s penguin classics edition so i unhauled it after i read it, definitely want to find a nicer one at some point!
