In the shop I work in we got a large contract to machine tungsten parts for an aerospace company. They sent in the material and I got the first pieces on the CNC mill. I know this now about tungsten: it sucks to try and machine it. We have to use diamond coated tungsten carbide to cut it. Very tough material to machine. I feel like shooting it myself when I chew up tools that should last a long time. The speeds and feeds are very stout. And it makes a high pitch squeal when being cut. Sets my teeth on edge...
The word tungsten actually comes from Swedish language. "Tung" meaning heavy and "sten" meaning stone. Here in Europe besides Great Britain we call it Volfram. Makes excellent but outrageously pricey shotgun shots. 12/89 magnum loaded with tungsten/volfram shot pretty much kills just about what ever crawls or runs. Kicks like a motherfucker too.. :/.. :D
In my field of work Health Care Construction, building radiation vaults for Liner Accelerators ( Linacs ) I can testify that Tungsten is a very hard metal product. and very difficult to work with. Try drilling into it! I have wasted many drill bits trying to find the right bit that will make it through. By the way the plates are typically used for mounting plates for lasers and other items mounted to the inside of the vault walls.

@@jaydunbar7538 well, even SAPI/ESAPI plates break after a hit or two.
But Paul Harrell has demonstrated that a cheap floor tile wrapped in duct tape will do a good job breaking a bullet into pieces that are more easily stopped by simple materials.
I was honestly surprised that it took a 10mm to break the thinner plate. Tungsten is notorious for how brittle it is.
i'd suggest my idea for a composite but that's going to go towards DARPA!
"Just like the 49ers..."
Savage.
But accurate
On point
I felt that
It doesn't matter what you shoot or do, you have some awesome people around you folks who are really fun to be around. Keep them close.
.45 AARP? Where do I get of those?
EDIT: We need a new permanent subtitle in a lower corner of the screen counting how often Breanna snorts.
Brianna's laugh snorts are adorable.
Now you need 8MM and 7MM Titanium plates.
Titanium is used for weight savings in armor, its not nearly as hard as the tungsten.
@@jaydunbar7538 It has interesting properties though. Very tough. Nightmare to machine.
Edit: also flammable.
This was an excellent show you guys. You all work well together, and it shows in the video. Thank you all for sharing this!!!
Thumbnail looks like a still from a 70’s B movie! 😂
Yeah, we purposely made it look goofy lol
OG in those casual tones rockin it. B looks like she literally just got off work or was on her way stunning and deadly. nice vid guys .
I did just get off work lol
Great shooting Breanna!!! Very interesting.. just one question O.G. ??? LAZAR ????
Thank you!
you can tell this video is going to be special because Breanna got all dressed up for it
I got a little excited when she said "I love that smell"...
lol but she didn't like the corrosive SKS smell
Who doesn't love the smell of gun powder
TAOFLEDERMAUS Shotgun shells usually smell the best out of any round.
@@5roundsrapid263 I spent 17 years in the service back in the mid 80s we would stay on the range all day and night no tents or fart sacks poncho and liner green eggs and ham topped with tiger sauce and just the smell in the air of all the ammo was great
She's a good shot with the 10mm. I think that dang rock was more impressive though, it just kept coming back for more.
Thanks!!
That steal ball. About kicked her bow out of hair.
Brianna's hand modeling has raised the bar for OG and Danny, they need to start wearing black nail polish.
Done. But I could only paint my left hand since I’m right handed.
1:41 watch that load-up action. Bullseye Breanna is ready to sling some lead. 😆
8:42 that's a gal that really enjoys shooting!
I really really do!
Sig Sauer SP2022! One of the most underrated pistols ever made!!!

@@Mav8887. thank you so much!!!
Now when OG talks all I can hear is “bob ross”
I bet he didn’t have to practice and did it in one take 😂
Agreed 😂
It is official the channel has a new expert sniper. Great video.
"A Fractured Circle" - that was an early Maynard Keenan band. Not very popular.
A perfect circle
It's called humor. Smh
@@Ladysman_217 puscifer haha

I'll be back soon 👍🏻. 🇺🇸😎
@@dannyakatrikerred7381 so rumors of demise should be read with disdain?
BRAVO GiRL! She took that recoil like a champ, I think I felt it.
I was prepared for recoil, but not quite THAT much recoil lol
Breanna in nerd glasses! And she can hit targets on the first try. OG is gonna be out of job
The glasses are pretty cute ☺️
I was going to say revolver hold on an semi auto, but she nailed everything she aimed at! Can’t fault her for that!
She snort's when she laugh's lol cute!😂🌹
I love how Breanna snorts when she laughs 🤣🤣🤣
@ 10:11 !! watch the shell! wtf!?? that is some pro stuff. first time a woman shoots that shell, and lands it perfect! I am dead!!!
Î heard the word volfram but had no idea it was tungsten
@@mickleblade It's Wolfram on the Periodic Table of the Elements.
@@tacticalmattfoley thanks, I've just read the Wikipedia article, always worth learning something new!
