I remember my first encounter with stalker was horrifying.
You get a strange message, then the lights start blinking and the doors lock. It was the coolest thing ever before he became a joke towards endgame.
As a dark souls player I thought I was being invaded which is funny, since DE wanted player invasions at some point.
I straight up ran the first few times. All the way to extraction.
Agreed! Oh my god I got flashbacks to invasions when it happened. As a new player it was just straight up panic back in 2014.
It was a real challenge. And in my experience normal Stalker is harder than Shadow.
I still want player invasions though, and have/give Stalker a Syndicate to call his own.

pro tip for wiping big groups of enemies in steel path: if there is an eximus in the middle of the group, mark him and then mercy kill him with the parazon. that wipes every other enemy in a 10 meter radius off the map
yeah man i feel like people are sleeping on stalkers room clearing potential, with max ability spam i was able to consistantly deal more damage and get more kills than your typical room clearing frames I.E. mesa, saryn, ect.
Fun fact: his fatal teleport triggers a parazon kill when the mercy window is active.
I really like stalker, his kit does feel very fun and his 4th ability literally feels like what nyx's SHOULD be able to do, I've been able to wipe entire rooms out easily with him. I think obviously before he becomes an actual frame for us to play with some of the rest of his abilites should be tweaked to feel more unique to him but overall if he shipped out to us now i would be super happy and hyped to play him, hella fun frame

Even though his kit is mostly rehashes except for his passive and Punishment, I actually think he's balanced enough to bring into normal gameplay.
I would also make him fight autonomously when in transference, like Excal Umbra.
its ash 2.0 with nyx ult in it his passive is the smoke screen augment of ash but buffed
Tbh I think he should have the ability to swap parts of his abilities as well for other Warframe’s. It would be pretty cool to make a strong set of abilities with him, however I’d 100% make it a PVP mode rather than Stalker just helping you out all the time. Imagine invading people and employing interesting tactics to take down the other players with a juiced up customised kit. Then have the matchmaking be against people of a similar MR bracket to make it fair.
Just a heads up for people using Stalker, you can activate his invisibilty during his 4th ability to capitalize on his passive. Also using his 4th ability destealths him so enemies can target him thus empowering the attack.
I really like Stalker, I wish he was a bit better but in a pinch he's really nice to have. While he doesn't add any support his damage potential is pretty good compared to the average player's frames. Keep that in mind, from the viewpoint of an average player (or even below average) you don't need to have half the roster(or more) kitted out in order to have access to a relatively well built and functional frame. I feel if a player isn't at a point where they have multiple frames kitted out he's excellent as a fallback if they want to do the steel path. It's always something those of us who have been playing for literally 5~10 years tend to forget, most players don't have even 5 well built frames, let alone the 50+ the game has. And with the fact that weapons are randomized too having a well built good frame can allow you to force your way through something you otherwise might not be able to, or at least until you have enough decrees to make your crap weapons good enough, Stalker can do that for the average player.
He is in an awkward place, though, since he's significantly stronger than anything you'll need for normal circuit or duviri but only "good enough" for steel path stuff. I'm glad they didn't just go "here's Ash, but black and red" but I wish he was a little more varied in abilities. It'd also be cool if we could get Shadow Stalker instead of just regular Stalker with some extra sentient style passives and a new ability or two, they could always do the whole "switch abilities with quick press and utilize the ability with long press" as well.
Well to the Shadow Stalker point, it wouldn't make much sense since we're literally in the void where sentient technology just doesn't work
I’ve been wanting to play as Stalker for Years. I honestly hope we eventually get a good story quest for him in the future that goes in depth about his past and maybe unlocks him for us to have as a Frame we can customize and use out in the Sol System. His Codex Lore always intrigued me as this Loyal Rouge who is still bound by his reverence for the Orokin, but after the Second Dream he’s started questioning things, and that showed growth for his character in my opinion. Plus I’ll never forget that hilarious “Wat” look he gave in The New War, that was Priceless. All in all I look forward to more Stalker related stuff in the future.
So fun... I bugged out with him on duiviri on a ton of decrees running around mutilating the poor false dax 😂
I was 2/2/2/2 before I maxed out Opportunity to 10 to play the Stalker, and I don't regret it one bit. Very awesome frame once you get the right decrees (melee crit/dmg/statuses) to get him to kill stuff almost effortlessly. I say almost because he has nothing for armor stripping, so you need to run Toxin status and do red crits for him to be effective.
Other than that downside, he's a lot of fun to play, and very easy to use. I never went down once (thank the Duviri gods for Smoke Screen), and our group of 3 went at least 10 waves, if not more. A real Joy to play. :)
A gas baruuk build with the decrees (status effects do double dmg, melee hits twice, double crit dmg, increased crits on hit, increased crit dmg on crit hits) super strong
If you can max out the intrinsics that fast, why even have them in the game at all? It’s silly. Just start everyone at all 10s

a correction on marked, unlike the helminth ability marked for death; this version converts really healthy enemies into crowd wipes on death, not just on damage.
Hopefully this is a sneak peek at what we should expect for Stalker in the future, seeing as they are planning more lore related stuff with him. Maybe even going as far as letting him bury the hatchet and join forces with the Tenno to combat the greater Narmer threat or something so we can actually have him as a Warframe.
As an OG Tenno you got to play Stalker. I don't care about his performance in this case, i just want to be Stalker for a day!
Stalker is literally the "Edgy Assassin Ninja" frame. His kit is similar to Ash but more deadlier. I really hope DE can make him available for regular missions.

I have him, and I think the three abilities that aren't his own could use some tweaks mainly make marked for death synergize with teleport like it used to. I also think his fourth should suck in all damage around stalker this would make him really useful in defence and excavation.
Just a suggestion to players just starting Duviri. After playing it for awhile, and like Tater said, but with a little tweek, I suggest you rank all four categories to rank 5 first. Then, fully rank Opportunity. You'll need more weapon and frame options to choose from if your playing Steel Path. 2nd, max out Endurance, then Combat then Riding.
Once I got my hands on him, I realized that this is the same build I have for Ash so it felt right at home. Nothing special but I did appreciate that Stalker's Teleport has Ash's Fatal Teleport Augment built in. Ash's doesn't return the energy without it so that's nice.
I really enjoy playing the stalker in circuit. Just snag up melee decrees and it becomes a slash party.
I have few warframes that are well modded and with enough forma for SP, but an advice, trust in your operator/drifter. A Madurai operator with all the passive from other schools and a phahd scaffold can clean the map in matter of seconds.
To me Stalker is an anti warframe warframe

Stalker i think was meant to be a conclave frame but no one played that mode and he got stuck in regular game mode
My easiest steel path circuit runs were with Stalker. He gets to almost Garuda levels of busted. The status decrees really amplify what he does. At one point, I was just permanently invincible melting everything with his 4.
I got stalker last night and played a couple of normal circuit runs. He's was ok. I think if once you unlocked him you had the ability to mod him yourself that would be a huge improvement but I personally wouldn't run him on steel path unless I had no other good options
I agree for SP there are better options, but also like to note I went ahead and got him on my MR0 account and want to say he is amazing for new players
The one time I got Stalker I also got Saryn as an option. I really tried, I have had Stalker equipped, but Saryn is my favourite frame; I cant leave her!
Plus, it was SP, and I play solo. I needed her! XD
Just had a short SP run with him, and my impression is - he's ok. Marked for Death + teleport work well enough to clear a small area of trash mobs, smoke screen has enough duration to make good use of his passive and stay out of harm's way.
Not a top tier frame, but good enough that I would pick him over others, if I'm not comfortable bringing any other frame in selection to Steel Path.
I got a question, i havent unlocked steel path, and i want to play duviri cirquit with it, when i unlock it, i can depend on the build that comes with the random weapon or should i use my own configs?
His passive makes him insane that's all you really need tbh. He is like Loki and ash with just more Dmg based. I think he is good for survival and general endurance.

Ngl, stalker was hella fun for me. Ash teleport and his 4 made me happy.
So far i have only done circuit runs and the weapons have been worthless but the frames still make it piss easy so praise rngesus i guess
I hope we get a story for him like Excalibur Umbra and then get to unlock him as a frame because i had so much fun playing as him! I WANNA OWN HIM! lol
Hopefully, he becomes a fully-fledged frame on his own later with his own unique body mesh, abilities and design as well.
I will say one thing about the circuit, it's made me love Revenant
I've always thought his fatal teleport should include a 3-piece or 5-piece dagger throw using his signature Despair kunai that marks an enemy and works almost the same way as Ash's 4th Ability- teleporting to assassinate enemies but instead working something like-
Fatal Teleport
-Stalker targets an enemy to teleport to and strike- throwing 3 (or 5) kunai in a horizontal spread as he teleports
-Each kunai that hits an enemy- sticks to them, temporarily marking them.
-If the initial enemy dies from the teleport strike- continue teleporting to each marked enemy to assassinate them.
(then if you wanted you could add that for every enemy marked this way- that dies that way- they unleash a small radial damage wave of about 6-8m dishing out 35% (or 50%) of the INITIAL teleport strike's base damage and acting as a 2-3 second stun similar to Excalibur's Radial Javelin briefly stunning enemies for 2-3 seconds on impact)

I maxed out my opportunity intrinsic as well to get stalker. Went back into Duviri and he popped up for my selection, took a look at his abilities, and was extremely disappointed. Still haven’t played with him cause all my other selections have better CC and higher damage output per ability.
Kind of expected to be "ok" because it'll be a bit weird making him op and then all you see is stalker lol
I have yet to unlock him but man I'd love to be able to customise him and run around as a majestic pink stalker XD
Hopefully they make an umbra stalker that is what stalker was before...well current stalker, like pre old war stalker just so we have a version of him we can use anywhere, but that's dreaming too hard lol

My IGN is Stalker, so I was pretty hyped to play as him. At first I was kinda disappointed, but my God does his passive destroy. Seeing as lots of crit-related decrees exist, he works off of them really well. Can't do much for defense though unfortunately (though that makes sense, he's a damage/assassin frame, not an objective defense frame lol)

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting him to have the power of Suplex as an ability 😂
I like stalker, I like his play style and everything, but I feel like he was shoehorned in without much concerned. I know, I sound like I’m the one guy that always finds something to complain about, but I do genuinely believe he needs a tweak and some extra lore as to how in the actual hell he exists in Duviri and in the origin system simultaneously. Maybe a cameo at the end of the quest that showed us how he actually got there or a web comic showing us how he ended up there, met teshin, and ended up becoming an “empty” frame for us to use.
I used stalker with his 2nd ability and a reaper prime with a heavy attack build, and when I killed an enemy using that combo, it killed everything around it pretty well. Granted, it was only up till around level ~50 in "The Duviri Experience" gamemode, but it didn't seem too lackluster at all. Does his 2nd not scale well with the steel path levels? And, if you use stalkers invis ability, then do a finisher (using stalkers teleport ability) on an enemy that's had stalkers ability that deals damage to all enemies around said enemy applied to it, and you're using a dagger with covert lethality if it doesn't do a lot of damage to steel path enemies?

So the intrinsic system priority depends a lot on the game mode you play on, if your planing to do mostly Circuit then opportunity is your no1, if your going to be doing the open world you probably want to focus melee and defence but get them all to 5 first, if you want to do a bit of this a bit of that you probably want to get them all to 5 them all to 8 before going all to 10 with riding probably been the least important.
Personally I think that riding is the weakest of the trees I mean 10 is been able to name your horse? That’s the best they could come up with?

Haven't gotten a chance to play him but it's cool to see DE. Let us play as Stalker since he's been left in the shadows as it were, pun intended. That being said I don't think his kit is unique enough with it simply being half of Ash's kit, then 1 Helminth ability and a better Nyx ult. The main thing that makes him kind of unique is his passive while in stealth and against unaware enemies. And while his kit does synergize into itself, you can essentially make this for yourself if you take Ash and remove Shuriken, and while you can't add Nyx's ability, I'd say that's okay because you can either just keep Ash's ult or also replace it if you want. Really, the main draw to Stalker is the aesthetic. And damn even after 7 long years, that iconic helmet still makes me wish this was an option for Excal.
honestly i was waiting for stalker from the beginning when DE mentioned he might be playeble character, the pvp idea was not bad aswell however i must admit it would be possibly killing the game since players would complain its not fair, in way of movement and targetting.
however hear me out on this:
i was thinking for awhile about it and i think DE might have put stalker only in duviri for now to see how people would enjoy/hate the playstyle and by then then would see if they add him maybe for normal game (non pvp, pve only possibly) and if it brings a lot of negativity then they keep in in duviri only and no more updates on him.
that is honestly my idea about it but to be fair i love playing stalker + his lore + playstyle etc.
so in my opinion its one of the best things they done and the 10 years of wait somewhat paid out.
I played stalker for a bit myself. Considering my shitty RNG with frame and weapon selections and how most of them were frame and weapons I do not own stalker in those times were a better choice. I did find him less energy hungry and his passive is great but, otherwise not the greatest. Though I did find a way to make him pretty effective but, that relied mostly on decrees and the vasarin void sling to clump enemies together. Basically you are set if you get the degrees to move faster dependent on your amount of decrees. Then attack speed on crit, more crit on damage/kill, gain health with status and forced element procs that boost your damage to crazy levels. By the end I was running circles around everything and my melee was so fast I could not see though that was probably because I was invisible, heh.
Well anyway stalker blender. Though on steel path duviri I found an interesting and annoying bug. Basically when you go really fast so does those wyrms that appear around the ore wyrm when it decides the floor is lava. Took me ages to get the little bastards as at the time I had the balistica prime and Kuva Orgris. So I had to keep jumping to not die from the floor and try to kill the wyrms for the next stage with leading projectile weapons. The only good thing was that I did not loose too much health on account that I was invisible. Though I found out later that I had to enter what looked like an energy barrier around the arena that I had to enter first to have an easier time. I did that for the last wyrm but, was still really annoying to nail down. First time I knew how to do the steel path duviri wyrm fight after all.
What if later down the line , they add shadow stalker

Nice gimmick but it should have been a chance at a 6th option that starts with stalker but kahl, clem, liches, maybe clone some of the executioners or human bosses, even acolytes etc are slowly added in as RNG chances without diluting an already tenuous RNG pool for the steel path runs.

he is really good with Vazerin class.
What would've been nice would be:
- If chose, 3 new weapons appears in the pool (Dread, Depsair, Hate) they can be chose or not.
- I kind of liked the set of skills, it's not original at all, but works well with the passive. I think he would require more tweaks on the skills, maybe status spread on marked ennemies to spread, if target killed on teleport then next teleport cost less. Maybe the invisibility is less a local ash cloud but a bigger one when he put an area in darkness, ennemies won't aim well and won't see him.
And for the ultimate we need a real one, something that will represent him.
Also, a skin rework, the helmet is good, but the body is not unique, we need a more recognizable and unique skin, that instill fear and represent the Death. Please DE, he needs love.
If you get a normal warframe you don’t own with a pre-built mod setup is it ever worth using?

Really I only have a problem with redirection. Not super min maxd but it's fine mod wise. I still hope to get his helmet as a universal helmet some day.
Having on all 3 umbral mods and still only having 262 armor is nuts lol
He's good for people that don't have a lot of mods/builds on other frames. But besides that, he's just fine. Could've been alot better if they made new abilities just for him
to me stalker is actually pretty good just because he comes with max arcane energize and grace, and i've never grinded eidolons long enough to get max rank of any arcanes, let alone those two which are definitely among the best
Stalker is actually decent for defense, he draws aggro with his 4 so the pod(mostly) is safe
I love the stalker, he should be tweaked and updated.
Literally a crit monster, dishing red crits like it was a soup kitchen on thanksgiving. sure, he's geared towards stealth and crits, lacking support and need to be buffed to be effective, but the crowd control combo with his passive is also nice too.
Make him as an actual frame we can use outside of Duviri DE!

Ngl when I played stalker in steal path he was absolutely wiping every enemy away so I wouldn’t put him in a “alright” category because if we could make our own builds on him he’d be over powered
Certainly worth more than rank 8 riding; rename your horse... just for the name to reset every run & you can only see said name in Teshin's cave.
They have to make him a Warframe outside of Duviri too imo

Sigh... I remember playing back in the days where everything had very low drop chances and so on - and the Stalker was a rarity. Were fun times. Current game is great - but nothing beats the grinding days back then. They were fun.
its 3-4 hours of farming for intrinics with a squad, there are many more frames that take longer to farm so he is worth it imo
i wish we could get to unlock him as a frame, i would easily main stalker
Honestly hard agree that he's a great choice if the others suck ass. Though as someone who used a Nuke Nyx build for a while the fact his 4 is her absorb has me curious on the same level as nyx's, if a teammate shoots it, does it absorb? Cause Nyx's does do that and it scales the damage from that.

I really wish he was an actual Warframe we could farm. A perfect opportunity to add him to the weekly selections we get for Duviri to farm parts. Should have been the 53rd Warframe and not the 52.5 Warframe. I have always wanted to play as him and not just fashion frame my Umbra/Excal.

Honestly I heard a pretty good idea as to how to get Stalker in normal games if he ever becomes like a fully custom frame
Beating a Duviri run gives you Stalker tokens. You can sue those tokens to play him in a normal mission. Like Eden from The Binding of Isaac

Imo it would be cool if as Stalker you could equip any skills in the game since he used to basically be the Avatar 😂
Steel Path Duviri does feel a bit "normal mode", but as Duviri is a type of new-player onboarding I think its pretty good.
I'm rank 2 grand master so when I heard Duviri is a different way to introduce players to the game, its pretty inline with what I expected: hard enough to tell new players "you shouldnt be here yet" but not so hard that its a '1 hour+ SP run'.
It feels like the type of Steel Path that newer players or lower rank players should engage with before trying the Origin System version.
He may not be the best, but id rather have him over some other frames. Its just nice to have him in the pool.
I personally think he needs a better 4th ability and then his marked for death needs a buff in how much AOE clear it can do. If DE did that then stalker would actually be a viable option for steel path but until then, he’s just not potent enough. Like give him a channeled weapon 4 or make home become shadow stalker with his 4 so he gets the armor and wat so he can slay out or something, not this generic nyx copy.

I just unlocked him today and holy crap. You can just stay invisible. I just ran around targeting all the tough enemies and either 1 or 2 tapping them with HATE. it was pretty fun for my first experience but i can see it getting pretty boring after a while.
I honestly didnt use any other abilities. I just ran around as an invisible monster hacking everything down
ngl really excited for stalker and then we got ash 2.0 with nyx ult... there is no individuality in his kit except the energy projectiles. big dissapointment for what i was hyped for so long. I was hoping after this they would make him playable in normal games but with this kit i dont care tbh he would just be my new ash i already have since he has built in augments already
@Mr.Oinkers yeah i get that and its fine in this way but i really hoped he was different so maybe he would be a normal frame down the line but with this kit i dont care he would just replace my ash cuz he would be better in every way and my ash would become useless. I just loved the OG stalker
3:45 whatchu talkin about. I'm only 8 opportunity and around 6 across the board elsewhere and steel path is basically just normal path. couldn't imagine how much of a stomp normal mode would be considering how stompy steel gets.
Normal is sleep mode activated. I'm 10 on everything
@@TacticalPotato exactly. And I find steel path relatively easily hits sleep mode after maybe 10 mins of snatching up decrees at my level.
