Hey galaxy gang! Today I am showing you the new OPI Spring 2018 Tokyo nail polish collection! There are 12 gorgeous cremes and shimmers, and I am swatching them live and giving you close ups :) I also did a couple of comparisons with nail polish shades that looked really similar in the bottle. Kanpai (乾杯) - **Cheers!** - Pronounced "kahnpai"
San (さん) - **polite name suffix** - Pronounced "sahn"
Arigato (ありがとう) - **Thank you** - pronounced "ahrigahto"
Harajuku (原宿) - **considered the youth fashion and culture hub of Japan** - pronounced "hahrahjookoo"

Thank you for your thoughtful review! I picked up How Does Your Zen Garden Grow and Tempura-ture is Rising. You are absolutely right that it's a must-have color that photos don't do justice to. It also is a close match to this springs jackets and tops from Talbots in the shade Cactus Rose. Watching this again, I wish I had been able to get a small sample set of all of these.
Sometimes OPI makes mini sets of their collections, I'd keep an eye out for them! :)

It's such a pretty spring pink - and speaking of 80s, it reminds me of a Barbie car I had as a kid that was a dark pink but still Barbie pink. Great color!!

I love the colors of How Does Your Zen Garden Grow and Chopstix and Stones. For me I can wear blue colors year round. Blue is one of my favorite colors.

Tempura rising, rice rice baby, the pinks were nice I love the shimmery colors and the last blue is very pretty but not a spring summer color but almost all of them I loved

I like the light blue and green one and the highlighter yellow. Also, I'm a sucker for any blue like that last one but I also consider it a winter shade.
Those 2 purple-y pink shades with the shimmer that you didn't like remind me of some old nail polishes I had in the late 90s/early 00s and I find them ugly now. Lol
Your hair always amazes me with how vibrant it stays after you color it. I've never seen anyone's color look that pretty!

Liked Kansai, I’m not into any green, sorry. Tempura, wow pass my sunglasses. Really like all the pinks, very spring like. All your dreams is very vibrant. Samurai may be best as a sheer look, maybe? Chopsticks! Gorgeous! Not sure why it’s in spring but..... nice colour. No yellows? Great review as usual Kellie x

Hmm... I have a dress that is bright yellow but a little green. I wonder if How Does Your Zen Garden Grow? would go with it. Thank you for your descriptions of the colors. It's hard to tell online or even in the bottle.

I liked pretty much all of those. Its funny, you said you really wouldn't wear the blue in spring or summer and a wear similar shades almost every weekend because my Daddy races and his car is blue/silver! Great vid as always!

I liked the “yellow highlighter” one. It looks more lime green in the video. The kind of teal but green I am wearing an almost identical one right now. 😂 The 80s fushia purplish was so extra back in the day. There weren’t so many fancy finishes like there are now. The other I remember well was a white pearly color with a bluish shift. I loved that stuff. Don’t see anything really like it even with all the choices nowadays. Probably was some weird mineral pigment that caused cancer or something 😂. Thanks for sharing. Always enjoy your voice. And hair. And makeup. ❤️

I know what you mean about samurai breaks a nail. Like I love blue, purple, and pink together overall (actually my favourite colour combo ever) but idk something about the way that particular polish was formulated makes them look really strange together. But great video anyway!

The Kunpai and Chopstix colors are very pretty. I don't know how the nail polish market works but some of the colors didn't seem very spring like while others looked like they are fresh out of an Easter basket. You hair still looks great 😎

So seeing the collection sitting behind you just makes me think this whole collection was made for those gorgeous bold eye shadow colors you wear and bright and beautiful hair colors. (Creepy not creepy) but when i see a combo of like bright colors that are just loud and awesome i always think of you. I was at Walmart the other day and I saw one of those like plastic plates and forks and cups for like summer picnics and they were all those bright Tokyo collection colors and I just thought man those bold blue and pink plastic plates would look great on Kelli! 😂

My ABSOLUTE favourite is Chopstix and Stines, I ADORE dark shimmery, dark metallic and dark crepe colours like this,mi wear them all year round!
Samurai Breaks a Nail looks like an awful grey to me, I don’t like it at all, not one bit!

YES that last blue is totally a Hanukkah blue. And yeah I think every brand and almost every collection or core line has that 80's shimmery pink. Its almost every girls 'first nail polish color'. I have a few of them from a few different brands for my daughter. You can mix a little Blue Dawn into your shampoo to help remove some of that color. But make sure you moisturize after. I used that trick to remove blue from my hair a couple years ago. I didn't want to 'bleach' it out and turn it green so one of my instructors told me to use a bit of Dawn or a clarifying shampoo.
Rande Thorman That’s a great tip about the Dawn. I use it to bathe my white Persian cat when he’s looking a little dingy. I saw the tip online and it works. It’s not overly harsh either. ❤️

@@KelliMarissa No problem. Shampooing everyday helps too but since you mentioned you had porous hair already, you'd have to do a lot of moisturizing too and maybe a condition or protein treatment too. The goal is to do it with minimal damage and stress so don't do it. Another trick is ACV (apple cider vinegar), I think its 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water. You can put it on your hair when its wet or dry, allow it to sit for about 5 to 10 mins then shampoo it out, follow up with conditioner. Bonus is if your hair is too alkaline it will balance the ph.
I see on the website that they also have an Infinite Shine version of the shades. How is that version of the polish different from the regular version? I like the shades Samurai Breaks Nail, Chopstix and Stones, and Rice Rice Baby the most ☺️💜💗
