Caleb Williams didn't throw interceptions either, but he threw three of them against ND's secondary last year.
Thankfully Weigman's not the only QB throwing against a defense that can get picks. When Nd's new OL gives him time to throw, that is.

Ags fan here. Notre Dame is clearly the better team on paper. But it’s the first game of the season. Both teams have new plenty of transfers, new coaches, and young players. The first few games of each season are filled with upsets. This will be a great game!
ND fan here. You're right - lots of unknowns at this point in the season, for both teams. So this game's very hard to predict. A&M has the home field advantage, though, and a very talented team. So ND will need to bring their "A" game to come away with a win.
By Far the only game that scares me. If we would have played in South Bend, I'm not worried, but game 1, 100,000 drunk Texans, August Heat. Yeah, this hopes to be a slugfest battle. Obviously Our O-Line is the major factor, Hopefully DenBrock has some answers. And I Hope we win. But I hope it's a good close Game. No Matter what Happens, Aggie Fans can rest assured, Elko is going to bring this A&M team back into the top teams, He's a Beast. Your Future looks Bright. I just hope he fails on Saturday and Sept 13, 2025. Much Respect Aggies. Go Irish.

I keep thinking back to when Jimbo was first starting out and they had to play Clemson. No one gave A&M a chance of even being competitive. And they pushed Clemson right to the end but came up a little short. In that instance more about QB inexperience. So I don't buy A&M as a 3pt favorite and I would not be surprised to see them lose close.
I also believe A&M has a higher upside and room for improvement over the season than ND. It will be hard to tell for sure though because other than A&M and maybe FSU, I don't much in the way of *legit* competition. And don't throw out USC.
It was a great game and I respect Texas A&M program for not taking a cupcake first game like many others. I believe this will end up as a good loss for A&M because I believe ND will blow out the rest of their schedule. So if A&M can not lose again they are fine.

Let me me CRYSTAL CLEAR Notre Dame Defense is SUPERIOR BY A LOT OVER TEXAS A&M who's great at one level of defense you can't use a defensive line to win all 4 quarters against a offensive coordinator who has plenty of adjustments and plays to attack the best of defenses ☘️🚨

@@greatriffishere The overrated thing doesn’t match up with the statistics from the last 10 years. Check out SOS and SOR compared to all the Power 5 schools. There was no respect for Notre Dame by the Texas A&M beat Rider. He gave literally no respect in anyway to Notre Dame, Tim on the other hand did give respect to Texas A&M all over the place, rightfully so. I hope Notre Dame uses the lack of respect that Texas A&M and the media and all of the media has shown and little more motivation.
My friend Carter Karles work at the south bend tribune as the Notre Dame beat reporter for years before he went to a&m

Wait, I'm an Aggies fan, but how is Texas A&M ranked number 20, already? They haven't done ANYTHING. I want A&M to EARN their rank, not be hand given this rank. Plus, they always rank my Aggies high only to see them not being ranked. I HATE that. tomm, be careful about assuming starters start only because they are awesome and beat out other awesome players. Case in point: A&Ms OL last year. They were sub-par, and yet every starter beat out someone else.
6 combined starts is a lot to overcome. Don't freak out when Scourton & Co make some trips into the ND backfield on occasion.
I expect ND to pull it out in the end but make no mistake, the ND offense, especially the line, will have no doubts that they had all the football they wanted, that evening.

We actually have two former starting guards who have 23 starts between them on the bench. They got beat out by the new guys. And our former starting center for 2 years transferred out because he lost his job to our new center. So apparently the new guys are pretty good. Should be a great matchup.

An aggie grad here, and I don't disagree. I'm not even 100% sold on #20 to start the season. I expect a good year, but you gotta show it on the field and that hasn't happened yet.

Notre Dame is still second rate. Regardless of Beating Texas A&M but they aren’t top 5. They are trash. Texas A&M is like top 10 sec. Not even top 5. I don’t even know how notre dame got a top 10 placement to start.
