Detailing an extremely dirty Porsche Boxster - deep clean, machine polishing and coating

This 987 Porsche Boxster was looking neglected, we set about a deep decontamination clean the restore the paintwork with our minor paint correction process. We also deep clean the hood and interior before protecting this little sports car for the future. Check out the huge transformation

I have a artic silver 05 boxster S and you have got me looking round mine 😂 glad to say shes clean but probably not in your eyes . Taken on board what you did with the headlights as mine are not bad but could be better

Good video. I’d have cleaned out the drains first though as all that washing and rinsing has likely got water into the cabin / under the carpets. Hence the smell and the condensation inside the windscreen.

Try using the Sylvania headlight kit. It’s has a spray that softens the old yellow UV coating and makes removal easier. Also - you recommended taping around the headlights. Definitely! Consider using electrical tape as that won’t readily disintegrate like a blue or green paper based tape. The kit also has a UV sealant. (Best to remove the headlights for that part - it’s easy on a Boxster/Cayman.) I’ve never had to do a set of headlights twice.

Thanks for the tip. Just be careful with electrical tape as I have seen it lift vunerable clear coat before, the low tack of the masking tape is less risky 😎

I'm cleaning my 986's headlights at the weekend. Will remove each unit. I've to replace the headlight bulbs anyway.

Haha! I’d definitely do you a good deal for RUclips 😉 to be fair the camera didn’t quite show how bad it was in person before and that also plays to the afters as well, but overall it was a fantastic result!
