    My compliments, very good video. During my 8 years in the Air Force, I washed hundreds of planes. During my training, they taught us to wash them starting from the bottom up, a habit I still use today when washing my vehicles and Airstream. It does make it easier to visibly see the dirty areas as they’re not covered in soapy water. It works for me. Thanks again for the video.

    Thanks for the video! How many microfiber cloths do you use to dry and seal you Airstream?

    • @LandingZoneHome
      @LandingZoneHome  3 года назад

      One to dry, then a fresh one to apply Walbernize and one to wipe it off. I also have a section in my book on Caring for your Airstream. Thanks for watching. amzn.to/2Q3MBLv

    Between the wash-treatments shown; isn’t it ok to use Windex on glass to keep clean?

    If you are worried about swirl marks from going in a circular motion, you are using a too abrasive wash/wax/sealer and scratching the clearcoat layer over the aluminum. Swirl marks are in the clearcoat, not the aluminum, correct?

    • @LandingZoneHome
      @LandingZoneHome  3 года назад

      Yes, and they will be visible and that is what I don't want. Thanks for watching.

    Jack, I have ordered your book and I am waiting for it to be delivered. I am picking up my Flying Cloud 23FB in late April and was wondering do you use the sealer every time you wash your rig? Thank you!

    • @LandingZoneHome

      Hi Cotton and Congratulations! I use the Super Seal abut once a year. My Airstream is stored under a cover (check my video on that) and doesn't get much sun except when we are camping. How you store your Airstream will make a difference. Hope you enjoy the book and if you have more questions join the group My RV Mentor (Airstreams Too) on Facebook.

      @@LandingZoneHome thank you for taking your time answering my questions. I am not on FB Jack, so I will read and study the book. I am planning to build a pole barn to store our rig underneath. I have watched many of your videos on How To and have learned a lot so far. Again thank you for your time.

    We just picked up our 2020 Airstream Globtetrotter 27!! I’ve been following your videos leading up to my recent purchase. I’m up in NY and the only thing I’m nervous of is storing it in my driveway. Indoor storage will run about $500 per month so I’m going to try to keep it here and CLEAN for now. Any advise??

    • @LandingZoneHome

      Glad I checked back, I posted but it didn't catch. Okay, outside seems to be you only feasible option so go with it after doing a good winterization and follow my Storage Tips video. Try to get covers over the AC units and maybe the skylights too. Check you local area and see what others are doing to protect their RV; any kind of carport setup is better than open. Check you Airstream frequently and you will be okay. Good luck.

      @johnyeary1 4 года назад +1

      Landing Zone Home , thanks. I agree the AC covers would be a good idea and I probably need to protect the solar panels in some way also. I have looked into a “car port” type cover and that may work also.

    • @LandingZoneHome
      @LandingZoneHome  4 года назад

      @@johnyeary1 Solar panels are pretty tough and should be okay but can't hurt.
