Woops! Domri is a guy, my bad. Also I think the thing I connect to most about Jiang Yanggu is that he is very specifically Chinese. I believe Narset from the Jeskai and Sarkhan are Asian in heritage too, but I don’t know if they’ve ever made that known in a specific written way yet. Let me know if you know otherwise!! -jimmy

      @emilysmith3594 5 лет назад +1

@@megadog9305 here's what doesn't make sense about that.
      1. The only thing those two figures have in common is shoulder pads... they don't have the same hair, Wanderer doesn't wear armor, they're thousands of years apart, et cetera. I gueeeeess you could say the long hair has a tentacle aesthetic? I guess? It's a stretch.
      2. If the Wanderer were an Eldrazi, they'd force opponents to sacrifice permanents (annihilator) instead of exiling creatures. There's a tie-in with Elspeth as far as "power 4 or greater" is concerned, but I doubt she's Elspeth either. Gideon will probably encounter Elspeth in the Underworld/Afterlife of Theros.
      3. The Wanderer acts like a person. They clearly have some amount of understandable motivation and battle plan. The Eldrazi have the whole Lovecraft deal going on, that they're unknowable horrors.
      4. The Eldrazi themselves don't have or recognize gender. Emeria, or Kamsa, the persona given this being by the merfolk and the kor, respectively, was seen as female, but there's no reason to believe that the Eldrazi themselves are aware of humanoid gender roles or behaviors.
      5. If you’re an Eldrazi... why are you white?
(Oh my god, Karen, you can't just ask people why they're white.)

This is true for any time you can copy a spell which copies spells, then targeting the original with the copy, making a loop of copies. The difference is that in the past, cards only cared about when you CAST something, not when you make copies. Now that you can deal damage off of copies, that opens up a new angle.

@TheCommandZone Regarding the infinite Ral+ Fury storm copy : "The copy is created on the stack, so it’s not “cast.” Abilities that trigger when a player casts a spell won’t trigger. This means, for example, that Fury Storm’s copies may target Fury Storm itself, but this won’t trigger the copy’s “when you cast this spell” ability, and it won’t increase the number of copies of other spells you end up with."

    • @CraigArgyleAudio

The combo still goes infinite, as you just loop copying the original, but it doesn't generate increasing amounts of copies like they said.

Tamiyos static ability might still be ok if u know that your opponents play decks with : wheel effects > wheel of fortun u dont discard and still draw 7 cards.
the anti sac part is also quite relevant (enought cards forces to sac see liliana or singel combat from war of the spark)
yeah her +1 is bad in comander/ singelton unless u are desperate searching for a combo piece [and rember u cant lose your hand so hand hate will not prevent the combo only exile handcards/counterspell]
and her -3 is a return so if u lost a part of a combo u gain it back.
shes not op but not as bad as u might think

10:35 The actual rule is that there is no sideboard. Wish cards pull from any card you own...period. However organized events restrict the meaning of "own from outside the game" to your deck/sideboard list. This is technically an organized play limitation and not an official MTG rule. This "rule" does now however show up on the MTG rulings page but while specifically mentioning "In a tournament event", this is technically an exception extending beyond the actual MTG rules for the mechanic.

Pausing at the beginning when you discuss the Amass mechanic, so if this comes up later I apologize.
I feel like Amass/Army is how they want to handle cards that make a lot of tokens now. Fixes a problem the computer versions of Magic have with large numbers of tokens. Creates lag, token limits, screen space, etc. Now that Arena is out and doing well, I feel like they want to smooth out the overall play experience going forward.

I play a Liliana, Heretical Healer reanimator deck. One of the main goals of the deck, although it isn't required to win, is to flip Liliana and try to ultimate her. I was so excited when I saw The Elderspell. Not only is it going to help me deal with a more planeswalker intensive meta, it is going to make my Liliana ultimate win-con a lot easier to accomplish. There are a bunch of awesome cards for my deck in this set, but The Elderspell might be my favorite.

It actually works, but i don't think josh explained it clearly. You use the second copy to copy the first one, and you get a copy of it (since you hadn't cast it, you don't get aditional copies). Yo use that third copy to copy the first one, geting a forth one, then a fifth and so on. This will be just nonsense, because you aren't doing nothing relevant, but the catch is Ral is doing one damage with each step, because he cares about the copies. You can do the same thing with two copy spells instead of Storm of Fury
