Since then over the next 14 years she has had over 34 songs hit #1 in Korea. She is without question one of the greatest singers in the world today. Rolling Stone Magazine goes even further calling her one of the greatest singers of all time. In January of last year they put her on their list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time. This video which she is the Producer and wrote the song, is typical of her MV's. She is a master storyteller and her MV's are filled with Easter eggs, metaphors and symbolism that all add depth and meaning to the story she is telling. And she videos are never actually about what they at first glance they appear to be about. You have have to be able to think and analysis the videos to come up with the actual message. She debut in 2008, which is 5 years before BTS. Also, the guy in the video is 'V'/Kim Taehyung of BTS; the biggest boy band in the world. In the video, V is blind in one eye while is deaf. They filmed this a week before V had to go serve in the military (mandatory service for South Koreans). You may also like IU's songs, "Through the Night" and " Dear Me". IU is so smart. She titled the song, LOVE WINS ALL. By doing this I believed that at the end they would live happily ever after, but she flipped the script and I cried like a baby watching their last moments. They both were incredible actors. They both conveyed fear, exhaustion, happiness, joy, love and devotion to each other. Think about it, when he grabbed the pipe from her, she could have run away but she chose to stay because no matter what, LOVE WINS ALL and their ending was together.

There are a few theories about this song but it seems that IU (the singer) is deaf and her partner is blind in one eye (which is why she covered his one eye when they got abducted). If you recall the scene where they are eating in a dining hall full of people in black, you'll notice that they're upset at the two for eating their food and during the scene she's singing in front of the crowd, they seem to be upset and angry with the both of them. The MV is constantly shifting between idealistic versions of themselves (camera) and reality (rewatch the scene in the photo booth). My theory about the the cube and the people in black is that they represent 'normal' people, as in people without disabilities and IU's point is to show how 'normal' society is oppressive to those who have disabilities, however love brings a hope and joy that anyone could understand, hence the song Love is All

A definite bop. But the song is indeed quite depressing. From my limited korean knowledge, it's about people shunned by society struggling to find love and be loved. It has hints of going off the bitter end together with your loved ones than to live life without love. The phrases she used in the lyrics are terribly immaculate and astonishingly beautiful. I wish I had better understanding of the korean language to fully appreciate its intricate meaning along with all the nuances within.
