@@fm-oldmanphil I've been playing FM for more than 10 years, and I'm always suprised at how much there is to it that I never considered. You have a very interesting, detail-oriented approach to it, and I am learning lots with these A-Z videos. Thanks!
Although this tip is a bit off topic disciplinary actions work quite well. In particular fining a player for poor performance after a match triggers his workrate, determination as long as he responds positively to it. If you check his profile page after you fined him very often you'll see an upward arrow next to a relevant attribute (and we all love green arrows, don't we). It's a quite powerful and effective tool. Amateurs talk tactics, pros talk man management )))
Absolutely with you there if you have a reasonable disciplinary attribute. If you are a disciplinarian the players are less likely to present problems to you or react aggressively to you in quick chats. Basically because of fear. I only have 11 discipline attribute so I have a lot of problems when I am aggressive with them. With a reasonable discipline attribute you can get players to try to be more consistent by criticising them every time they have a poor run...eventually you will get a message that they will try to become more consistent. Manager attributes are overlooked in the game but I try to give players feedback based on my attributes....you make some very valid points
