Wow! I didn't even know these existed! I dont solder very often but this is awesone! I like that there's no annoying power cord to get in the way. I'll be getting one for sure! Thank you for letting us know about this!😁
Neat, I'm going to get one. I don't suppose by any chance there's a brand or maker's name? There's loads of USB cordless soldering irons on Ebay but I can't see any the same as this one. Other types might be fine, but maybe not.
Like I say in the video, no link, but if you search AliExpress you will find dozens of them. Some fancy ones with digital readouts. I went the cheapest one I could find just to see if I would ever use one. And I found out I do. So next time I might go for a more deluxe version.

The small tip is perfect for todays soldering needs as well.
@Robothut That's what I thought too!
Great little video. Will be looking on Amazon for one. 🙂
Nice little unit.
Interesting.
Good idea to use a 3D printer for background sound. Background music is so 2023.
Nice , make sure its off and in a metal container so you don’t have a fire 🔥 hindsight is 20/20
It has a auto off circuit as well. But I always make sure my soldering devices are off and cold to the touch before I put them away.
@ good
The guys used to coil the solder round the front to keep the other hand free.
Yea some do that. Not me. I have been soldering for 65 years.
@@Robothut Probably because they were up a ladder , and hanging on with the other hand was needed.
Great idea even a luddite like me could use it. Do you still need flux?
No, Most solders have flux core built in.
@ well its been a while since i soldered anything 😆
@@OzziesRobots If you do solder something these days make sure you buy the low heat "60/40" LED / Tin solder, not the NEW "no Lead" solder crap.

No makers name or model number on the unit or the instruction sheet. it was just the cheapest one I could fine on AliExpress.
@@Robothut Yes, I thought that was probably the case, otherwise I'm sure you would have mentioned it in the video. Thanks anyway.
that is kewl, don't see the link to it though
