Appreciate the education guys, I was able to turn $20 into a hand pay using your 1% and build up method and then I made sure to walk away with it. We took multiple breaks and that helped a lot. I also think the real key is to not get greedy, start low and build up, when you reach the omg point, it's time to leave. I will be going back to the casino when I get the oppurtunity. Thank you for making me a smarter slot gambler!
Thanks Mark. Becoming an educated player has made a huge difference in the enjoyment i get in playing. I no longer feel the casino or the slots are against me. Maybe the biggest change has been the fact that I no longer chase. I know the next spin is exactly the same as the last one and that is huge. Great video and don’t worry about repeating these important points. I’m a slow learner and don’t think I’m alone 😅
Excellent content. Example: if you are on a China Shore machine and you bet 45c and get 480 free games, would you still get 480 free games if you were betting betting $2:25 on that pull. Or is the RNG programmed differently for different amounts you bet on the same machine? Thanks!
Thanks, Mark! My husband and I love to play the slots. We do this for entertainment, not to get rich! You have helped us with your great information and thorough knowledge of how slots work. We are more aware of what to play, budgets and low volatility vs. high volatility! We had no idea before we started watching your channel. We feel way more educated and informed.
Great Video as always! I've learned and done much better at the casino and learned to take what the casino gives you...these guys are spot on when they say you win more than you realize.
Wife & I listened to Brantley & then Marc came aboard. We played slots 12+ hours a day for 3-4 days on casino route vacation in Shreveport & came home even money after free room & good food .
I love all of the videos you have done dispelling all of the myths I have been hearing over my 30 years of gambling. I had heard and believed them all. Some channels still try to push some of them and ne channel even said the RNG no longer exists and its all controlled in the back room. But I go to you guys for the truth. Very educational. Also, never new about volatility, lifetime pay back, what 92% payback really means, etc. Keep up the good work!
Hello! Quick question regarding the $100 bankroll strategy. In step 2 when you take your $100 and play to triple it... If there are no single line machines and you have to play a 5 line or 9 line machine should this be played using 1 line only or do we attempt to play 5 or 9 lines with $100 dollars? What is your recommendation on this when there are no single line machines for this step?
Thank you for speaking about casino play, myths, and how things work. My Q is about the collection of play data when using the casino player’s card. Please go a little deeper into the what/how of players cards. For example, what sort of electronic reader device is in the slot machine cabinet? Physically separated from slot software- could we see that? Thank you
Very well explained! Too many people think they know how slot machines work based on their limited personal experience and don't believe me when I try to explain what you just explained. I will save this video.
Mark, you guys cleared up a lot of things I was wrong about. The players club card usage, the time of day to win, etc etc . Thanks for clearing up my misunderstanding. As for your comment on playing craps, that's me. Not comfortable playing if I don't fully understand it. Excellent videos as usual!
Great informative video. It raised a question that I have regarding volatility. How do you know whether a machine is high or low volatility before you play it for the first time? I mean do you have to listen to what people have said about it? So many machines and everyone is using the terms low and high volatility but I guess you have to play it unknowing of its volatility before you can determine it. Or is there a way to figure that out ahead of time?
The higher the jackpots or peogeessives, the more difficult it is to hit. They control that by putting fewer symbols on the virtual reels for thr RNG to pick from.
Hi, what is the best slot to play just to build tier credits???… there is a 10X multiplier week coming and I want to boost my tier credits the highest I can with minimal risk. Video poker seems like a good choice but it pays tier credits half as much as a reel slot machine. Which machine would optimize tier credit production?? I.e. lowest possible volatility to play the longest
I remeber reading about The Reserve casino in Las Vegas. When they opened, they had every slot in the casino set to the maximum payback allowed for the machine. They opened in 1998, but Station Casinos purchased them in 2001, and that was tyhe end of every machine set at the highest payback available. It was renamed Fiesta Henderson.
Thanks Mark! Should you only play the max bet on slots? My friends say that's the only way to play. When I do that, my money goes fast and makes me think that's the only way I'm going to get a hand pay? I play quickhits the most and buffalos. thanks again!
I have a question...I see SO many people beating on the spin button, during a bonus...do the think they can make it land on higher wins? The only thing I know..is "button slappers" sort of mess up the function of the spin button, like sticking, and often, it doesn't even work.😮
Another great video guys. I can't wait till my wife and I go back to Tunica. We're definitely going to be playing with what we have learned from these videos. Thanks
I'm so lucky I found yall a long time ago bc my slot play has increased a ton , and only bc I've watched yall listen to yall and executed what yall teach !!!! Ty
Hi Mark. Question for you. When you get a bonus feature in Top Dollar or Pinball where you hit the button to see what offer you will get or when to launch the ball is that outcome also based off a random number generator or is it all ready predetermined prior to pushing the button? Just curious if it matters when I hit the button? Also, I wanted to mention that this channel is excellent. I have pages of notes I take with me when I go to Vegas and will be heading back in January for a convention. Both of you make a great team and I appreciate the clarity.
On top dollar, each offer is a complete separate event. The RNG stop occurs when you press the try again button. The first offer is decided once you get the bonus symbol. On pinball, each ball is a separate event, but based on where the ball landed previously, it changes which buckets are available to thr RNG. For example, if you were lucky enough to get 100 credits twice, the remaining balls would have a large number of 10s and 5s RNG stops instead of another 100. Make sense?
I play at Choctaw most often and know most if not all of their machines are Bingo based...I get that....BUT....Ive always wondered if in their own way arent they also random? Let me explain my thought.....Somewhere, there is a server sending out Bingo numbers....Bingo numbers ONLY go 1 thru 75... B 1-15, I 16-30, N 31-45, G 46-60, O 6-75.......SO those are the numbers that have to be used.....is the Server programed with X number of patterns ahead of time OR does it randomly chose numbers for each Bingo letter then watch for one of it's assigned patterns to hit? Hope you can follow what I'm trying to say, it seems clear in my head then I write it down and I'm off on a rabbit hunt LOL. Love your videos and tips. Thank You.
My Uncle is that guy that believes all that bad info lol. I sent him all these videos in hope he learns. Just sent him this one so hopefully, this is the one! Thank you guys. Great video as always.
Hope my winning random number pops up soon! Haha thanks for reiterating this time and time again. I see lots of misinformation and superstitions out there. I always share your videos
I have a question or two if you don't mind answering, with the number of pulls in your example: set to a million pulls will it start over to 1 pull to 1000000 pulls? and when is that determined after the million pulls I guess it would but in accounting wouldn't it be easier to do a monthly, or yearly and gauge the percentage and taxes? (is every machine set to this million pulls?) I understood your answer but it just segway into another thought is why I was asking.
Don't feel bad Marc, 'Craps' is a complicated game. There are 'easy' ways to play and more intricate ways to play. The odds can be confusing, there are so many different bets that can be made. However, it is a blast to play....🙂
I was there two weeks ago and, you’re right, they had terrific machines. Plenty of “old school machines” which are my favorites. Didn’t hurt that I walked away a winner as well. The place has really changed for the better after Sam Boyd renovated it!
So we know the higher the denomination the better the outcome. So on the dragon link if your playing on a dollar denomination but betting 25 bucks a spin, is that the same as playing a dollar machine and betting 2 bucks max bet?
I am right with you there in Craps. I really want to understand how to play Craps. It looks fun, but even after watching demos and explaining and so on, but I get lost
Good morning from spain I play multi game slots in bars. My question is : All games share the same winning line. I know python programming it has sense they use a common function to calculate the winning line. If i slot acumulate a big major mean is easy to get a wining .
Just because a progressive is high or maxed out, doesn’t mean that it’s ready to hit. Only exception to this is must hit by progressives (which are clearly marked).
There are two types of (random number generator), one will have a set sequence (it says it random, but if you stopped it and started it back from start it will give the same set of names numbers every time it restarts). The other type of random number generator use the seconds on a clock to generate a number, this type will be different every time it starts.
Would say it's better to play a straight amount on one slot or jump around machines? Also what would u say is a good amount of spins before jumping to another slot
So one thing I never understood is that if it is a random number generator, and if you are lucky enough to hit the button at the correct time, then how do they set the machine to pay back at let’s say 90%? I realize there are more combinations to not get a winning number, but theoretically, if overtime people hit the random generator correctly and how do you adjust for the payback on the machine?
Think of it this way to simplify this. We all know the payback % of flipping heads over tails is 50% right? The random aspect of this is you flipping the coin, what controls the payback % is that it must be either heads or tails. However, take a coin and flip it 20 times and record how many times you got heads. You likely didn't get 10, but shouldn't it have been? It's 50% after all. Well, keep flipping the coin 20 times and record your results. The more often you do it, the closer and closer that average number will get to 50%. Adjusting the payback % on a machine would only do one thing, and that is alter what it is that the RNG has to pick from. If it was set to a higher percentage, then some of the blanks might be replaced with a symbol. Or some of the symbols would be "upgraded" to a better symbol. The goal is that after about 10,000,000 spins, the average of ALL of the spins will be within 0.2% of what the payback % setting is on that machine.
And the more spins played, the less influence the results of any single spin have on the average. 7 heads and 3 tails--or two "extra" heads--has big effect on average at 10 flips--70% heads--but 2000 "extra" heads only have a small effect after 5 million flips--50.04% heads. You would need 1,000,000 "extra" heads to get 70% heads at 5,000,000 flips. That is very unlikely to occur. This also applies to slot machines. On spin number 10,000,000, a 10,000 credit top line win on a 3 credit game only increases the actual RTP by 0.033%. If that spin is a 3 credit single cherry instead, the actual return increases by just 0.00001%. Players would need to be very lucky for a very long time to cause any meaningful swings in long term return.
Does skip betting actually make a difference??? I've seen several other channels claim its the best way to increase your chances on dragon link machines
No, each spin is a separate event. The 10,000,000 spins means that's how many it takes for the numbers to line up. The machine will behave exactly the same way each time you spin it.
I finally won a $1200 jackpot, I was so excited when they came to pay me but I don’t know protocol how much should I have tipped? There were five people there for that small jackpot. Do I tip the person that’s paying me or everyone? Love your channel. Thank you so much for all the information.
It largely depends on the game, but in general, free spins are NOT predetermined, but might use separate virtual reel strips (lookup table I mentioned in this video). Could fast stopping change the outcome? Yes, but it's not an advantage or disadvantage. It is just chsnging when the RNG stops.
I am sorry for my English, but one time I got a jack pot on minimum bet 40 cents at Harrahs casino in Atlantic City, you weeks later, I was watching one guy was played in Connecticut Mohegan sun casino and he also got a jackpot with a maximum bet of two dollars the machine called mega Walt. I realize it was the same combination would I get I made a video of my Vinning. It was exactly the same, what I’m trying to say the whole programs on the machines is the same
They don't have any control over it, but they are generally bad if they are continuous shufflers. It typically only hurts the people that are counting cards or watching what has come out of the shoe previously.
I wondered this also. I envisioned a virtual money bag for each denomination, and figured the lower denom bags would "fill" from more users faster than the highest denom, thus needing to give payouts more to stay in the 90% target range (or whatever the casino Cashback percent is )
Machines don’t take into account how much has been played before to determine spin outcomes in the future. A lot of people think that’s how they work, but it’s totally false.
Went to the casino last night mystic lake casino , brought 260 dollars came home with 260 dollars killed 2-1/2 hours . so i had free entertainment . most people would have come home with 5 dollars
Depends on how fast the CPU is. But, it doesn't matter if it's thousands, millions, or even billions. It's fast and you can't use that to your advantage.
It is worth pointing out that your comments are heavily biased to the USA, in Europe and other parts of the world it doesnt work quite the same. Europe is more 'percentage' based over the shorter term rather than its lifetime. More in means more out but in a different way to machines in the USA, one thing you can be certain is NO operator of machines will have a business model of true random, in the same way that zero on a roulette wheel gives the house advantage.
The comments are heavily based on the United States because this is a United States Channel. Maybe the American Flag in the logo doesn’t give that away clearly enough.
There’s nothing random every thing is mathematically instantaneous pay outs just every player has observed when machines is go keep eating players money
I completely disagree! The Casios lower the player percentage of payback! And today’s casinos are down to about 4% payback! 96% casino hold !!!! It’s just the opposite of what he talked about
Appreciate the education guys, I was able to turn $20 into a hand pay using your 1% and build up method and then I made sure to walk away with it. We took multiple breaks and that helped a lot. So is the table it uses from the random spin is different for different bid amounts OR is it the same table with different payouts based on your bid?
Largely depends on the game. But, for most of them, regardless of bet size, it's picking from the same possibilities.

Good morning from spain
I play multi game slots in bars.
My question is :
All games share the same winning line.
Great advice.
There are two types of (random number generator), one will have a set sequence (it says it random, but if you stopped it and started it back from start it will give the same set of names numbers every time it restarts). The other type of random number generator use the seconds on a clock to generate a number, this type will be different every time it starts.
RNGs in slot machines use the internal clock as part of the RNG calculation.
Would say it's better to play a straight amount on one slot or jump around machines? Also what would u say is a good amount of spins before jumping to another slot
Completely up to you. There is no advantage play either way.

Is Double Top dollar considered high volatile?
Does this apply to HHR machines?
Most of it, but it's based on historical horse races in place of an RNG inside the slot machine.
Thank you! Great points!
Great information!
Does skip betting actually make a difference??? I've seen several other channels claim its the best way to increase your chances on dragon link machines
No, there isn't an advantage play there.
The other guy says free play is different from when your money is involved. Something about the accounting of the machine.
So what you are saying is an older slot machine is more likely to give return and a newer one am I correct?
No, each spin is a separate event. The 10,000,000 spins means that's how many it takes for the numbers to line up. The machine will behave exactly the same way each time you spin it.

You should never feel obligated to tip. It's not expected, but welcome. We usually tip 1% of the jackpot amount.
Are bonus spins predetermined? Say I get ten free spins, and I quick stop the reels. Will that change the outcome of my winnings on that bonus?
It largely depends on the game, but in general, free spins are NOT predetermined, but might use separate virtual reel strips (lookup table I mentioned in this video). Could fast stopping change the outcome? Yes, but it's not an advantage or disadvantage. It is just chsnging when the RNG stops.

That was just coincidence. That is your human brain detecting a pattern in something that isn't there.
Do you know anything about the card-shufflers at table games. I swear the casinos control card shuffling.
They don't have any control over it, but they are generally bad if they are continuous shufflers. It typically only hurts the people that are counting cards or watching what has come out of the shoe previously.
What are your thoughts on rich little piggies hog wild or meal ticket. Is it high or low volatility machine?
High
Many machines have multiple denomination, is there a separate RNG for each?
Same RNG for all, but the theoretical payback % could be different.
thank you. enjoy your videos@@CowboySlots
Great Video❤❤❤
How did slots randomize in the pre-silicon chip days of the 70s & 80s?
They had huge reels with many more symbols to pick from. They then had a spinner that spun and initiated the stops. That's about all we know :)

Has anyone read or reviewed this book Debunking Slot Machine Myths: Unveiling the Truth Behind the Spins"
We haven't I might take a look at it and find my thoughts.
Then how do they decide when to pay out? If it was random why is there times it’s paying and times when there’s nothing?
What you are describing is randomness and the law of large numbers Look it up. :)
But yet we tend to always do back up spins after a win !!
how about other country? sometimes it seems dead spins 80% 100% loss
Can't really speak for outside of the US and Canada, but any large jurisdiction that has oversight over the casinos... You should expect similar.
Good points Marc.
Mark, you said the RNG is calculating billions of times a second. I've always heard it's thousands of times a second... Which is it?
Depends on how fast the CPU is. But, it doesn't matter if it's thousands, millions, or even billions. It's fast and you can't use that to your advantage.
I get drunk and play 20 dollars every week. Its like the lottery to me.
@@CowboySlots Nope....no flag....just some guy in a hat with a beard and a beach towel !
Wish i had powers to slow each slot down in slo mo
Wouldn't help
@@CowboySlots 😄🤦♀️
There’s nothing random every thing is mathematically instantaneous pay outs just every player has observed when machines is go keep eating players money
False
Wrong, if they are server based a lot of what you just said is completely different and could be different
Only ones that are server based are Class 2 bingo machines.
I completely disagree! The Casios lower the player percentage of payback! And today’s casinos are down to about 4% payback! 96% casino hold !!!! It’s just the opposite of what he talked about
False. Where is your information from?
Thank you 👍
