The Kia Proceed GT is much better in design and price performance than the Benz and still has all driving-resistant and autonomous driving level 2 standard. Makes a review of the Proceed GT. Greetings ✌
This is the type of the wagon one wants to drive! You get in and feel 10 years younger, not 10 years older like in the C or E class wagon. Yet you get a useful form along with a beautiful style. Great review! I think MB will make a huge mistake by not bringing this to North America.
Presses the lumbar support to adjust the seat height... The height adjustment is on the door. I’m sure It could’ve went lower. But Anyway great first look🙏
I honestly think the CLA was born to be a shooting brake. If you're getting a Merc, I'd say this is the one to get. Comparatively affordable, practical, stylish and has all the new tech. Why go a step above?
Well, as an architect and designer I consider this Shooting Brake a great improvement in respect to the outgoing version which looked too stubby upfront with its overly short dash to axle ratio. I actually purchased the new A-Class in December and as much as the previous gen never got my attention, I can't stop looking at all those details you mention on this SB. Got it in Progressive trim with Night package, 18" diamond polished wheels and lowered suspension. Looks so much better in person than on videos or photographs. I like even more the CLS-inspired slanted headlights on mine than these on the SB and the interior is pretty much identical. The fact that you have less headroom in the front is because the moonroof is shorter than the usual panoramic roof, liberating a couple of centimeters in the back seats. Great styling insight, keep up the great work ;) PD: The issue I have with the AMG package is that, if you pay close attention, the side skirts look visually lower than the spoiler, which is a contradiction on a modern sporty car. Hence why I got the Progressive trim instead.
I really like my current CLA 250 AMG Line 4 matic, and I have been waiting for this car.. I am 6ft 4ins tall and have always found it to be comfortable on long Continental journeys. I will be buying one as soon as it is available in the UK
Never really paid much attention to the previous version, but the design is very interesting. Would make a great vehicle for a weekend getaway, enough space for a tent and other camping stuff 👍
Gorden Wagener ,Mercedes Design Chief ,quoted philosophy was to remove character lines from designs he liked to make them better. It will be interesting to see what the upcoming S Class and C Class will look like without that bow wave descending down along the side
Unless i'm mistaken, Gordan Wagner head of Merceded design is the designer famed for saying that (if you like the look of a car you should take off one design line and see how it looks).
AAAAh my CLA Shooting Brake from 2015 is due for renewal later this year and I was thinking of an XC40, now I'll have to wait to see this. I love the look of this and love the styling was one of the reasons why I got mine (OrangeArt edition). Trust me, it is practical, ok not a wardrobe carrier but to be honest, how often do you need to lug around something like that. With teh rear seats down it is quite capacious.
Thanks for the great review! Indeed an amazingly balanced combination of functionality and style, barely present on other wagons! It is also a lack of cars like that that make SUVs flooding the streets and polluting the air. Great work by Mercedes but unfortunately doesn't seem to make our shores.
Design, design, design. I love your reviews guys but this one was laid on a bit thick. Get through the details but get to the point! Just some constructive criticism.
They made it too useful.... I mean, we have the C class estate if you wanted a wagon. We wanted a shooting brake cla, not a wagon. I have mixed feeling about this car. The front looks nice but not super premium and the rear end looks premium but does not even look like a Mercedes, those taillights don't fit the curent design language
@@rikkee5157 I understand the whole coupe is 3 door crap. But a CLS shooting brake is very sharp at the back and looks beautiful. This CLA looks like a normal estate
I thought the gt saloon was an eye sore, this is a whole nother level of ugly😂 the two displays look great, but the ambient light on the doors and center console seems like an after thought. Good review, Hope to see many more years of this awesome channel👍🏽
Damn pity that Mercedes doesn't offer a CLS Shooting Break anymore. Both the CLS coupé and the CLA Shooting break are to SMALL for backseat passengers of higher stature... Think about western european teenagers 1.8m+. The CLS shooting break was a beautiful car (what a shape!) and had ample space for all passengers.
I also don't understand the yellow and red Mercedes Benz cla colors they are showing recently.... I wonder how this cars look like after some years standing in full sun.
Looks a bit weird to me. Like the roof and windows are too small for the rest of the car, or like the rest of the car is oversized compared to roof and windows.
It's an a class model, keep the sunroof opened for more space. for me the model did not make sense in the first place. cls shooting brake was the only shooting brake that made sense. i drive one myself and it is an amazing car. at least you need one suv or estate car for family business and one amg coupe for fun in the future, but hey then we are talking about double costs and all that shit. can't understand why cls shooting brake was discontinued
Pretty but the boot lip far to high for luggage and to narrow ans as for the window in the back door, christ, it's bloody aweful. Nice explanation thogh.
The've gone crazy with the piano plastic though :p This looks sooo much better than the old one . Gone is the dragging ass and baboon ass tail lights :P But now it has the 70's Oldsmobile dashboard ;)
No matter what they do it will always just be a weird estate. They should just embrace the estate styling. It's okay but considering they spent so much effort on the design it's not brilliant. The rear pillar looks weird and not very strong. The bonnet line doesn't seem to flow with the rest of the bumper. The interior is good though.
With the predecessor they managed to make the tail look as if it had been pushed down - now it looks as if someone had hit the rear and it is being pushed upwards. Mercedes's design doesn't appeal to me right now.
If you don’t like the ‘everclean’ fake exhausts just have the pipes extended up to the ‘fakes’ and they’ll be dirtied soon enough. 😂😂🇬🇧🇲🇹😉👍Nobody hates this car and vast majority love it. Mine arrives in a month’s time.

Ew. Definitely not my cup of tea. I’d be surprised if it showed up in Canadian showrooms.

Magnificent look and design, A pure beauty , well presented without imposing opinion

Seat hight adjustment is on the door.
No, only on the more expensive models. The " normal " models have it on the seat ...
Never really paid much attention to the previous version, but the design is very interesting. Would make a great vehicle for a weekend getaway, enough space for a tent and other camping stuff 👍
I like, I like. 👌👍
Another great review!

You promised and you delivered.
This looks good, can't wait for the AMG version.
Nice design. Love the new steering wheel, air vents, and of course the new Comand system! Can't wait to have that touch screen in E class.

I'm going back and forth between the new shooting brake and the xc40. I'm curious to find out Which (if either) you decided on in the end and why?

1:43 Gordon Wagener, i honestly think of this quote to this day whenever i see a new mercedes :D
I liked the old one but i love the new one.👍👍
Looks really nice in that spec 👍
Awesome Wagon
I love it. Love the shooting brake
WOW! mercedes makes me want a station wagon with this and the e class amg wagon
Design, design, design.

I like the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake. The AMG Models will definitely be the best looking
Its beautiful
11:45 that was the lumbar support lol, the control for the seating hight is on the door, so you can actually sit even lower :)
yes sorry
Autogefühl no worries, still a brilliant review !

It's not a Shooting Brake, it's a estate. Shooting Brakes have 3 doors.

Weird colour choice by Mercedes, doesn't look great on camera.
seriesaddict02 yeah! And their press photos were in bright yellow
I totaly agree
the coupe in white is just amazing.

Cool car. I would like to buy a C class t-model but maybe I would like a CLA Shooting Brake instead.
If I'm not mistaken, you didn't even show the back of the car :-(

Shooting breaks are cool. I wish there were more.
Kia Proceed

the new A class and a few other mercedes models have the tablet type screens my A200 premium AMG Line has the two 10.25" screens.
The tire profiles on these are so low, would be curious to hear about the ride comfort.
I’m in love 😍😍🥰❤️😭
must have car!!!

Beautiful but I'm not fond of darkened wheels
How many golf tour bag can be loaded in the trunk?
2mm can never make a visual difference
It’s basically an estate car
Oh yeah, with frameless windows.
Another great car the USA won't get...
Y'all get some really cool cars that _we_ can't buy
@@Progan666 what do we get exactly?
Does it still catch 🔥
What a sexy luxury wagon!

I cannot see the 2mm :-(
God review, Weird colour :)
Nice review.... but WHAT ARE THOSE?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 👞👞
a CLA size Panamera hmmmmmmm...
I can smell the new car smell just watching this.
0:06 thats what she said
CLA estate 🤔
Price in Europe?
this makes me wish for an all new C class that is less boring than todays model.
IMHO, the CLS Shooting Brake looks much better
One of the most strange design ideas on sale...a low, small and odd looking “estate car”. Who would want that set of parameters??🤔🙃
Could've showed us the infotainment system
Just like any other new gen mercedes bud
wow must have :)
With the predecessor they managed to make the tail look as if it had been pushed down - now it looks as if someone had hit the rear and it is being pushed upwards. Mercedes's design doesn't appeal to me right now.
It’s a Audi lookalike front.
unpopular opinion: looks like a hearse from the side profile
Love the design, but not the color. And C-class = more car and less money 😊
The question is: Are the exhausts finally real again?
The exhaust fumes must come out of somewhere
If you don’t like the ‘everclean’ fake exhausts just have the pipes extended up to the ‘fakes’ and they’ll be dirtied soon enough. 😂😂🇬🇧🇲🇹😉👍Nobody hates this car and vast majority love it. Mine arrives in a month’s time.

Had one 2 years hate it .getting rid of it for new car not mercedes
I really buy the car..
But I have no money....
I call BS
Shooting Brake - 2 doors for eg. Ferrari GTC4 Lusso
Estate - 4 doors for eg. silver diesel wauxhall vectra and this debacle you're showing
Craps on previous model
It looks really grea...aand fake exhausts again 👎
Shootingbbrake is 2 doors
SWRIL MARKS GALORE! Can people stop fucking touching paint?
my criticism.. too much time talking on the "design" ... fwd ... it's a mercedes.... rwd or awd .. are better.
Stupid design, plz go back to CLS shooting brake which makes Mercedes great again
I CAN TOW THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER...
LovE💓MERCEDES CLA RED💪💪😎😎😎😎😎💖🌹
Looks good but looks long. Unlike my SLK haha.
Front wheel drive , ugh
4matic all wheel drive is available. Trust me it is a good system.
Pretty unemotional design.
Shooting Brake, stupid name
Que feo.
one more in the chain of mercedes design mistakes
Awful! MB, what have you done!!!
Cool car. I would like to buy a C class t-model but maybe I would like a CLA Shooting Brake instead.
