Carpenter Dave - what a legend. This really is an excellent series. I've been binge watching over the past week or so. As someone new to model railway-ing, there's so much to be inspired by. These guys are all at the top of their game.
What a great video again Dave. Enjoyed the section at the end with Dave in his workshop. It shows the skill Dave has with all the tables, supports, baseboards, etc. This is key to building a layout of the size, that needs transportation. Can't wait for the next episode Dave, these are so informative.
Absolutely fantastic video update Dave on what’s going to be a fantastic session at Chester followed by the ultimate show at MK 😊 And all this because Pete Waterman is such a great lover of trains 👍🏻 What a top guy 🤩
Long time since I've seen one of those DeWalt radial arm saws - lethal things! Nice to see the Festool Domino taking over from traditionan tenons and mortices. Massive time saver for bulk work. I can't afford one or justify it for my much lower level of use so dowels and biscuits for me. Love prong-t nuts, surprised how few people seem to use them
Thats one hell of a layout. The attention to detail is amazing. To stop the baseboards from sliding around when accelerating/breaking, put down a half inch rubber mat to put the baseboards on. It should stop them moving and absorb some of the vibration
Hi Tom, Thanks for the comment - the car park has been modelled correctly - at least, it reflects correctly the car park at Milton Keynes ! Who knows why they chose to have right ramps on the real thing!? Chris
You guys need to get a haulage firm like Stobart's on board to provide one or two lorries free of charge to transport all those boards. I've just sent them a link to this video suggesting they could contribute by sorting out the transportation / logistics for you free of charge in exchange for their name added to the list of those who have donated or contributed to these projects. Hopefully they will make contact with you soon. Fingers crossed 🙂

Fantastic! Can see the finishing line now. Loved the comments in the background about the Grand National 🤣🤣
You are getting there, looking good
Now that is what I call pure entertainment. Interesting with something to learn at every section. Many thanks
impressive, most people that come to see this layout will not know how much work or skills has gone into making it,keep up the superb work, thank you.
Another fabulous update thanks to all concerned. It's looking fantastic
Great thanks. I enjoy watching these but haven't been to see it so far
Brilliant...incredible dedication and skills. !

Love listening to background chatter 🤣 ‘take them round the back and shoot…’ 🤣
Another great update. Thanks for sharing. You need a new feature in the vids - "Dave's Moans". He's hilarious.
Fantastic model railway when are you at Chester with the model railway
Dave, could you please ask Pete to show us a bit of the "teddy bear fur" that he uses under his patches of static grass? There's more than one type :)
Looking good.
But I notice the car park ramps are continental, and drive on the right, even though the car park itself is uk (on the left)
