Is it possible to turn off the spotlights from the camera while keeping the color at night? Thank you!

Hello. If you want to turn off the white light while maintaining the ColorVu function, you can use the Smart mode. The camera will then see in black and white (thanks to the IR illumination), but as soon as it detects any movement, it will activate the white light and switch to color. Later, it will turn off the white light again and continue in black and white mode. Did that help you?

@@expressalarmcr Yes, it did help. But I was also wondering if is there any way to stick to the color night 24/7 but without using its spotlights. I thought there could be an option to make it happen. Thank you!

It really depends on the situation. If it is completely dark (for example, in a forest), then without additional lighting, it is almost impossible to see anything (except with military equipment, etc.). Therefore, it depends on whether there is any residual light. If we have at least a little residual light, the camera's parameters matter. A camera with an F1.0 lens and a sensor sensitivity in the ten-thousandths (for example, 0.0003 Lux) can see in color even without additional white lighting.

@@expressalarmcr This camera should get the job done then since there are a lot of streets lights around here. One thing that still keeps me from pulling the trigger is how well it detects people at night. I mean, how far can it do it? Especially if there's plenty of street lights. Anyways, thank you so much for sharing that info about the lens and sensors. It's super helpful. You're the best!
