- ODOO brings all of your data together and one of the best ways to showcase and leverage that data is with a dashboard. The team at ODOO have built out a lot of these for you already, but if you want to create your own or want to customize and existing one, you've come to the right place!
We'll walk you through how to add data to your dashboard, create top ten lists, drop in scorecards, and add charts.
As always, if you have any questions or need help, please reach out!

Great video as always. Extremely helpful.
So glad that I found your channel. Been looking for Odoo dashboard tutorials for so long.
Thanks again
I'm glad it helped!
Thanks Really Cool vid!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
GREAT videos. The best I've seen for Odoo.
But I don't see a 'getting started' with Odoo one.
Would you consider creating one, esp. what version (hosted vs local-install, as well as the various types of local install ... packaged, source, docker)?
I'm using the standard hosted, but don't have the ability to do all the things you show in your videos and need to determine the best package and the best way to move to that other version.
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind feedback. I did a series of videos on evaluation ODOO, but I never put together a getting started playlist. I've been thinking a lot about this lately. I did do a video on hosting, but I think I'm going to go more in-depth there too before too long. Here's the video I already made: ruclips.net/video/TGNM1pPDkuA/видео.html Moving to another version can be tricky at times. Sometimes ODOO will do it for you for free, but lately I've heard that they're charging for the service more often than not. If you're fairly early in the game, I'd recommend spinning up an instance on the hosting option you feel is best for you and just exporting and then importing what you've already done.
One more question : I would liketo insert my list view to dashboard but what is the limit, can I enable page wise view?
Hmmm...you want the entire list view in there?
Thanks a lot for this great video. How can I customize the style in the dashboard? I want my custom dashboard to look like the default odoo ones, like being placed in the middle and not stick to the left. Do you have an idea?
I'd have to go into that, but yes, you can do that!
@@odoo-it-yourself I would appreciate your help here! 🙂
Is it possible to display a scorecard that show e. g the sales of the last month in a dashboard ? And when a new month comes refresh and start over
Definitely! Set a filter and set the default value for the last 30 days. Hopefully that works for what you're thinking.
@@odoo-it-yourself if at any moment you feel like doing another dashboard videos and include this would be great !
I’ve been looking for an application to handle POS, Inventory and other stuff. Not quite sure what we need but I suspect Odoo could be a nice fit for my wife’s Tea Shop.
I like the self hosted nature and I abhor subscriptions
So are you looking at trying community then? Could work fairly well, but it does take a bit more than just doing it online.
is it possible to do that, on odoo community??
I haven't messed around with them in community, so I'm not sure. Sorry!
Can you do a weight sale integeration session??
I'll have to look into that. What all are you wanting me to cover?
@@odoo-it-yourselfpayment terminal integerations
Ah, payment terminals can be interesting. I'll have to jump into that.

Hmmm...
Dude u r a genius...
Thank you! Glad I could help!
So great...would be nice to have the possibility to create a dashboard like this, to each one of our clients instead of sending them boring reports... any idea?
Hmmm...that's a good question and I like the use case. Let me think on that.
Do you have to refresh the data on the sheet every time new records are added?
Not if you make sure to use the odoo.pivot formulas instead of referring to the worksheet and cell where the pivot is.
You can sort the range for the pivot in odoo 16 (not sure about 17) from the data drop-down. Highlight the cells you want to sort first (example the $ and then the name columns) and sort it z-a or a-z.
Does it persist in the data so it works with the formulas? I’ll have to try that. Thank you!
@@odoo-it-yourself Good point! It does not look like it does.
Dang it! I was hoping it might!
Great Video, thank you.
Glad you liked it!
