hi, Sir thank you for your videos to guide us!! I am a beginner, how I can setup Odoo + Docker + Visual Code for development ( for multiple versions ... Not multiple instances of a single version) on a single machine? found various videos and other guides are just executing the ' docker compose yml' file and not guiding for rest of the things (pre and post) like oddoo.conf, requirements.txt etc. etc. and how to setup VSCode for development including which command/script execute in which folder? i have installed a single version (Dockerized) but don't know how to setup a development environment for Multiple versions. I am using Ubuntu 22.x as VM and want to create all related things here and want to setup VSCode within or from host windows machine (which one is better as per experts like you). hope we will have a step-by-step video guide. thanks very much.

I am not seeing the same page when I go to the settings for email and we are using the free option with one app only with the email marketing. Could that be the reason or the app has changed since then? Thanks a lot in advance!

Can something similar to be done for automatically adding followers? The Puppets is loaded as a company so does not have an associated email. Prince Billiam does have an email, so he should be added as a follower to all quotes/sales orders for The Puppets company. Right now this is a manual process; what you're showing is perfect for the emails, but if it could be enabled to add followers automatically that would be awesome.

Hi there, Is it necessary to create all open invoices when shifting to odoo. Because we have like one to two thousand of them and also there is problem with our receivables. What I was thinking is that I can start with odoo and import the opening balances as they are adjusted in the previous system. And also just passing journal entries for the receivable balances. Is this approach ok.

Great quick solution I tried it and it worked and I want to learn python now for real this is great, I have noticed one thing that could improve thought: Some items in my sales orders are identical and that's why I merged them and will ship them together but after merging the quantities did not merge instead they were added as a new line that could not be deleted since it is a sales order..any idea about that?

Do you know an easy way to find a view for a website page e.g. the individual item page and how to inherit that view for customising?

If the model name is not visible in the URL, it can be found by turning on debug mode, going to the view, opening the debug settings (the button that looks like a bug) and under `User Interface` it will show the model name as `Model: {modelName}` where {modelName} is the name of the model.

In the newer Odoo 18 version, the URL does not show the model in use.

Hey, just stumbled into your channel today and you're doing a good job sharing in-depth Odoo content, both technical and functional. On the Community vs Enterprise I think you left out basic concepts such as SaaS vs FOSS (Open Source vs Open Core) and what that means for both companies and Odoo partners in terms of cost, functionality, flexibility and overall cost. Not a critic but a suggestion for a Part 2. ;)

How about if a User is a member of a group with access to the menu but you don't want them to see the menu? For instance you don't want the Inventory Admin to be able to touch Accounting Configuration.
