I am probably the only fan of RSO in my country(Poland) but I just love them. The way they play, their basque culture and heritage(im also partialy basque) and just everything about this club is amazing. Great video btw i am so jealous

@@adeiibeas5265 i am from Warsaw but my grandpa is basque and came here from san sebastian with his family. They were opressed by Franco during the civil war. No one teached me euskera or spanish but I leart spanish and i'm going to learn euksera to and I will be proud of my basque heritage💪

In this Basque derby, the fans of both teams go to have drinks before the game in total festive spirit and harmony, here they do not hate each other or act in confrontation with each other like in derbies in other parts of the world.

What a great atmosphere, basque fans are awesome. And how great you can wear your team shirt without fearing any agressive action... there's no way you can do that in my city. I wish all fotball rivalry could be this healthy everywhere.

I was there since the afternoon singing and cheering on the streets, in the bars, all together with Athletic fans, just having fun.. and then in the Reale Arena... today I have no voice, I gave it all. Such a good day.

Many people hate on this derby because fans don't k*ll each other, but as an Athletic Bilbao fan, I feel proud of our derby and its unique and special brotherhood atmosphere. Not better atmosphere my friend. Many Athletic side journalists claimed they lacked the atmosphere of Anoeta that day. So much time without having any similar in San Mames. Result will be different. 0-3.

I'd guess that Basque Country is one of the most interesting places within Europe regarding its unique language, its people and its culture. I definitely have some sympathies for both clubs, both are amazing and I like the fact that there is no remarkable hate or even violence on derby days. Fans from both sides are even coming together occasionally, just a bit like Everton vs Liverpool in England. But from my point of view it's a bit sad that the old San Mamés in Bilbao is history. Yes, it may have been ramshackle, but its unique character was definitely worth a renovation instead of a complete replacement. It has been such a classic and lovely stadium spreading so much charme with its squareness and its steep stands. The new San Mamés opened in 2013 just looks like another Benfica, Emirates or Wanda Metropolitano clone, so I wouldn't really call it a 'cathedral' anymore like the people in Bilbao did while talking about the old San Mamés. Real Sociedad's home Anoeta has improved due to the replacement though as the older version has just been a giant bowl made of concrete in the early 90s. So impressive to see the whole stadium bouncing!

I'm a Real Sociedad fan and from San Sebastian and this video was just amazing. Of course I was in the stadium but you managed to capture the whole atmosphere sensationally! This gave me goosebumps so many times... Glad you enjoyed it!

As someone from SS, I gotta say. I never thought a foreigner woud consider the classic basque derby to be this important. I am so surprised! Glad to see people outside of spain enjoy our bickering as much as we do!
It's clear that you are from the Netherlands. I was there in Amsterdam in 1999. That R spelling is pretty clear. As a supporter from Real Sociedad no more living in my hometown since 10 years ago welcome to Euskal Herria. It's such a pleasure coming back home to visit my parents.

This derby is so quiet and soft. You should visit the derbies in Argentina , as Independientes vs Racing Ckub, Boca vs River, Newell's vs Rosario Central, etc..

1 November 2023 in Bucharest. Steaua - Rapid, a derby in Romania. It is a match in the Romanian Cup actually, Steaua is playing in the second league (long story, and complicated), meanwhile Rapid is playing in the first league and their ambition is to fight for the league title. So we have the ingredients for a great match. Ambition and passion for the Steaua side and of course the home stadium support. On the Rapid side is the players' quality and the support of their fans, who will be present in the away fans sector, right now I don't know the numbers of Rapid fans, but in the last derby with Dinamo at Steaua stadium, they had the entire 'Curva Nord'. In Romanian is "Peluza Nord", I don't know how to say it in English.
If you want to come, I think will be a nice experience for you, us, and the subscribers.
This was the atmosphere at the last Steaua Rapid derby when they played in the fourth Romanian League.
