He'll be one of the best artists you've discovered :) He is jazz legend :) He is very balanced between genres and he is a jack of all genres master of the piano. :)

Chick is probably one of a "handful," and I mean "handful" of jazz pianists still alive that can play the daylights out of just about any tune -- off the cuff (the other 3 guys I can think of are Barry Harris, Keith Jarrett & Herbie Hancock --- there are thousands of other really good pianists out there too, but they're a dime-a-dozen, and don't even measure up to the standards of Chick and the other cats I mentioned)!!!!! And of course, this tune is so rich in material that a technical monster like Chick would just wail away effortlessly...

I purchased this CD in 1994. I wish I still had it, Chick Corea was and still is fantastic at jazz Solo piano.
